DX Group PLC - Slough-headquartered courier - Opens a new security control room in Tipton, West Midlands. This control room will allow DX to conduct centralised monitoring of CCTV, alarms and access controls across all of its sites. As well as improving security for the whole DX network, the new facility will also enable enhance live monitoring of heath and safety and operational compliance protocols, improving depot efficiency and safety.
The control room is the most recent step in DX's GBP10 million investment programme, which underpins the company's growth ambitions and follows completion of stage one of its turnaround with a return to profitability last year. This programme aims at improving efficiency and capacity for the DX Express and DX Freight divisions. Around GBP6 million of investment in technology, equipment, fleet, and sites is intended to take place in 2021, including opening another three depots each for both divisions.
