Baron Oil PLC - oil and gas exploration in UK and Peru - Malcolm Butler retires as executive chair, stepping down from the board on Friday but remaining as an advisor until the end of March next year. Butler has been with Baron Oil since 2015. Managing Director Andy Yeo is promoted to chief executive, effective immediately. Meanwhile, Jon Ford moves from non-executive director to technical director, and John Wakefield is hired as independent non-executive director. Wakefield is a solicitor who was corporate finance director at WH Ireland until 2016. He currently is a non-executive director for AIM-listed software sector investor Drumz PLC.
