Mon, 12th Mar 2018 12:02

LONDON (Alliance News) - Greatland Gold PLC said on Monday it has begun an exploration programme at the Ernest Giles project in Western Australia with the start of mobile metal ion surveys.

The gold miner expects to publish the survey results at the time of drilling. The programme will focus on three priority targets at the Meadows, Wishbone and Empress areas.

For Meadows, 24 reverse circulation drill holes are planned to test a large 5.0 kilometres long by 1.5 kilometres wide anomaly defined by deep sensing geochemistry, and up to six holes for Wishbone and Empress to test basement geology and physical rock properties.

Shares in Greatland Gold were down 2.7% at 0.55 pence on Monday.
