Go-Ahead Trading In Line For Both Bus And Rail Divisions

Thu, 10th Dec 2015 07:50

LONDON (Alliance News) - Go-Ahead Group PLC on Thursday affirmed its full-year expectations as it said revenue had increased across its bus and rail operations in the first half.

The FTSE 250-listed group said it expects revenue to rise 1.0% for its regional bus business in the half to December 27, despite a 2.0% decline in passenger journeys. For its London bus operation, it expects revenue growth of around 2.5%, though said its quality incentive income continues to be hit by ongoing congestion caused by roadworks in the capital.

Overall, trading in its two bus units remains broadly in line with the first quarter in the second quarter.

For its Rail arm, the company said it expects revenue growth across its Southeastern, London Midland and GTR businesses. It expects passenger revenue growth of 6.0% at Southeastern and growth of 12% at London Midland, which has continued to improve its overall performance.

Revenue growth at GTR is set to be around 6.0%, though the service has continued to face operational challenges.

Overall, Go-Ahead said it was on track for the full year in both its rail and bus divisions.
