Go-Ahead Group Fiscal Year Pretax Profit Decreases

LONDON (Alliance News) - Go-Ahead Group plc (GOG.L) reported profit on ordinary activities before tax of 75.9 million pounds for the year ended 29 June 2013, compared to 84.5 million pounds, last year. Profit for the year from continuing operations attributable to shareholders decreased to 53.7 million pounds or 124.6 pence per share, from 55.5 million pounds or 128.9 pence pe share, a year ago. Excluding items, pretax profit was 86.2 million pounds, compared to 94.2 million pounds, last year. Adjusted earnings per share decreased year-over-year to 139.6 pence, from 141.9 pence.

Revenue was 2.57 billion pounds, compared to 2.42 billion pounds, prior year.

The Board of Go-Ahead Group plc proposed a final dividend of 55.5 pence per share to maintain the total dividend for the year at 81.0 pence.
