(Alliance News) - Ferrexpo PLC on Tuesday declared a 13.2 US cents special interim payout, crediting a solid operational performance during 2020.
The Baar, Switzerland-based company mines for iron ore pellets in Ukraine.
It said the special interim dividend will be paid in sterling, with an election to receive in US dollars.
"The special interim dividend announced today reflects the strong operational and financial performance of the group in 2020, and strong balance sheet," the company said.
In respect to the 2020 financial year, Ferrexpo has declared 33.0 US cents in dividends to date, which is up two-thirds from 19.8 US cents. It said it will consider a final dividend ahead of reporting on its 2020 results in March.
Shares in Ferrexpo were up 4.8% at 310.40 pence in London on Tuesday.
