LONDON (Alliance News) - Ferrexpo PLC on Friday reported a slight fall in iron pellet production during the first quarter of the year.
In the first three months of 2019, the iron ore miner produced 2.5 million tonnes of total pellets, slightly reduced compared to the first quarter of 2018 at 2.6 million tonnes.
Against the last quarter of 2018, total pellet production fell by 14% from 2.9 million tonnes.
From the company's own ore, Ferrexpo produced 107,500 tonnes of 62% Fe pellets, down 46% from 197,920 tonnes produced in the last quarter of 2018.
Fe 65% pellets production dipped 5.3% on 2018's last quarter to 2.4 million tonnes from 2.6 million tonnes.
