EXECUTIVE CHANGES: Rio Tinto lawyer moves to UBS; new Chamberlin CEO

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Tuesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Rio Tinto PLC - London-based miner - Chief Legal Officer & External Affairs Barbara Levi to leave company by the end of October after accepting position of group general counsel at Swiss bank UBS Group AG. Levi has held her role since March, and has been part of the group for a year since 2020. Rio Tinto is currently searching for a suitable successor.

Qinetiq Group PLC - Farnborough, Hampshire-based defence technology company - Non-Executive Director Ian Mason dies on Monday. He had been part of the company's board for seven years since 2014. Most recent executive role was as chief executive officer of Electrocomponents PLC for 14 years from 2001 to 2015.

Asiamet Resources Ltd - focused on the development of copper-gold deposits on the Indonesian islands - Appoints Andrew Neale as general manager for the Kalimantan Surya Kencana licence in Indonesia. Will manage all aspects of the pre-development technical works and permitting needed to prepare the BKM project for construction and operations. Asiamet is in process of updating capital and operating costs estimates for the 2019 BKM feasibility study in preparation for debt financing discussions, and is reviewing all opportunities to reduce life-of-mine power costs by 20%.

Chamberlin PLC - Walsall, England-based castings and engineering firm - As part of restructuring process will promote Kevin Price to be CEO with effect on June 1, replacing Kevin Nolan. Price has been part of Chamberlin since 2015 and is currently operations director of the group's Foundry & Machining facility. Nolan will remain a director and responsible for key projects and client accounts.

Phoenix Copper Ltd - North American-focused base and precious metals producer - Appoints Catherine Evans as non-executive director with effect on May 1. In addition, Dennis Thomas will retire as non-executive director on the same date and join the company's new Advisory Board. Thomas will also continue role as vice-president of Investor Relations in a non-board function. Evans was part of the founding team of Fundsmith as institutional sales director prior to the launch of the Fundsmith Equity Fund.
