Empiric Student Property Appoints Former Diageo Executive To Board

LONDON (Alliance News) - Empiric Student Property PLC on Friday said it has appointed Alice Avis as non-executive director with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, Non-Executive Director Stephen Alston will step down from the student accommodation owner and operator's board at the end of March, after five years.

Avis is currently a non-executive of the Business Growth Fund Group, Edrington Group Ltd, and Cyden Ltd.

She has also held roles with Marks & Spencer Group PLC as director of marketing and e-commerce and with Diageo PLC as a global brand director.

Empiric Student shares were trading up 0.9% at 97.45 pence each Friday.
