Fri, 28th Jun 2019 11:59

(Alliance News) - Chemical development digitisation firm DeepMatter Group PLC said Friday it promoted Lauren Lees as its new financial director with immediate effect, after the previous incumbent stood down.

Lees - a chartered accountant - has been serving as financial controller at the firm since October. During this time, the firm explained she has "played a significant role in the strategic and operational development of the group".

Lees will replace Michael Bretherton who has stepped down from the firm with immediate effect, he had served as finance chief since 2015.

"We are grateful for the significant contribution Michael has made to the business and wish him well in his future endeavours," DeepMatter Chief Executive Officer Mark Warne said.

"We are also pleased to welcome Lauren to her new role as Financial Director," Warne added. "Her positive influence on not only the finance department, but also the broader group so far has been significant, and we look forward to benefiting from her skills and experience further at Board level."

Shares in DeepMatter were 1.9% higher at 2.70 pence in London on Friday.
