Corero Network Security wins order for defence system

(ShareCast News) - AIM-listed online protection solutions provider Corero Network Security has won a significant order for its SmartWall Threat Defense System (TDS) from a US hosting provider valued at over $400,000 (£272,000).Corero, which did not name the hosting provider, said the order is its largest single hosting provider deployment to date.It follows a successful trial during which Corero was able to demonstrate the effectiveness of having in-line, real-time Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection delivered by the SmartWall defense system.Chief executive Ashley Stephenson said: "This hosting provider customer order is a strong endorsement of Corero's view of the commercial opportunity in the important and growing hosting provider market."Corero looks forward to strengthening its relationship with this particular customer, and reporting on further successes in the hosting provider vertical in the coming months."
