bwin's non-exec director steps down

(ShareCast News) - Daniel Silvers has stepped down from bwin.party's board of non-executive directors, the online gaming group said on Tuesday.Earlier this year, Silvers announced he would leave SpringOwl Asset Management to pursue commercial interests elsewhere. As a result of his decision, he chose to vacate the role of non-executive director he had held since May 2014 on behalf of SpringOwl Gibraltar, one of bwin.party's shareholders."We remain strong supporters of the bwin.party board and of the pending transaction with GVC Holdings," said Jason Ader, chief executive of SpringOwl Asset Management"Given the current timetable, we are not currently nominating a successor for appointment to the bwin.party board ahead of the completion of the recommended offer from GVC that is expected to take place in early 2016."bwin shares were up 0.55% to 112.51p at 0859 GMT on Tuesday.
