BP restarted CDU at Whiting refinery over weekend-sources

HOUSTON, Aug 5 (Reuters) - BP Plc restarted thesmallest crude distillation unit (CDU) at its 405,000barrels-per-day refinery in Whiting, Indiana, over the weekend,sources familiar with operations at the plant said on Monday.

Energy intelligence group Genscape reported the restart onSunday.

BP began the overhaul of the CDU about three weeks ago. Thelargest crude unit and other smaller crude unit continuedoperating while the smallest CDU was shut for work.
