Anglo Asian hails record gold output

Emerging gold producer Anglo Asian Mining has pleased the market with its latest update on operations at its Gedabek gold/copper mine in Azerbaijan.In a record month for gold production, 6,167 ounces of the yellow metal were produced in March. The mine has already beaten its output target of 25,000 ounces for the year to June 30, producing 25,022 ounces. Anglo Asian is targeting second calendar year production of 53,500 ounces.The company has also been benefiting from steady rises in gold prices over the past year, with the weighted average gold price rising above $1,000 and totalling $1,111 ounces in March. Anglo Asian has a portfolio of production and exploration assets across Azerbaijan.
