LONDON (Alliance News) - Stellar Diamonds PLC on Friday said it has formally submitted its mining licence application for the Tongo diamond mine in Sierra Leone to local authorities.
The application will be processed by the country's National Minerals Agency and then forwarded to the Minerals Advisory Board for consideration.
The final environmental, social and health impact assessment for the mine has also been submitted to the Sierra Leone Environmental Protection Agency, with meetings due to be held in the new year.
Shares in Stellar Diamonds were untraded on Friday morning, having last traded at 15.00 pence.
