(Alliance News) - Sportech PLC on Friday said it has signed a multi-year international commingling agreement with UK Tote Group.
Sportech shares were trading 17% higher in London on Friday at 18.10 pence each.
The betting technology company said this deal will enable UK Tote Group to utilise Sportech's Quantum software to access horseracing and other sporting pools across the globe.
In addition to the new international commingling agreement, Sportech formally handed over to UK Tote Group a proprietary digital platform on which it has worked closely with UK Tote Group over the past year to jointly create and deliver.
This new platform will give UK Tote Group digital technology to grow its online business. The new digital platform is directly connected to Sportech's worldwide commingling ecosystem, it said, bringing a myriad of opportunities for the deployment of additional Tote products from international operators.
"Sportech has invested heavily to develop its Quantum global network and to improve the quality of its international business," said Chief Executive Richard McGuire.
He added: 'Sportech is delighted to extend its relationship with UK Tote Group to support their global initiatives."
