Castelnau Group Ltd - closed-ended investment firm - Invests GBP1.6 million in equity and an unsecured loan of GBP4.4 million in Silverwood Brands PLC. Says it is the first significant investment in a new entity since Castelnau was listed on the London Stock Exchange in October last year. Silverwood is a London-based investing company targeting food, organic food, wellness, lifestyle and leisure sectors.
Chief Executive Officer Gary Channon says: "We are delighted that Silverwood has become part of the Castelnau portfolio alongside well-known consumer brands Hornby PLC and Stanley Gibbons Group PLC, our wedding gift list business, Cambium Group, and Dignity plc."
Hornby is a Margate-based manufacturer of model and hobby products, while Stanley Gibbons is a Jersey-based rare stamp dealer. Dignity is a funeral-services provider.
Castelnau current stock price: 81.00 pence
