In addition to real-time information about gas exitingoffshore pipelines at receiving terminals in
Gassco also said it would provide information aboutunplanned outages earlier than before, and before the impact isknown.
"For the first time, the public will get the information atthe same time as the gas shippers," a Gassco spokeswoman said, referring to gas producers such as Statoil and Shell.
"The companies themselves wanted more transparency," sheadded.
From Wednesday, Gassco will also start reporting on plannedmaintenance and unplanned outages affecting gas flows by atleast 5 million cubic metres (mcm) per day, down from 20 mcm perday previously.
It will provide information about outages' impact onavailable capacity at a specific field or part of thetransportation system, in addition to the actual flows, comparedwith nominations.
"This will give a better overview of the actual consequence, since existing publication of volume impact is based onnominations only," Gassco said.
Gassco denied that the changes were due to European Unionregulations.(Reporting by Nerijus Adomaitis; Editing by Gwladys Fouche andDale Hudson)
