HOUSTON, Oct 31 (Reuters) - The hydrocracking unit at RoyalDutch Shell Plc's 218,200 barrel-per-day (bpd) Norco,Louisiana, refinery was taken out of production on Wednesday dueto a malfunction, said sources familiar with plant operations.
A portion of the 40,000 bpd hydrocracker tripped out ofproduction on Wednesday morning, the sources said. The companywas attempting to determine the cause of the problem and whenthe unit would resume production.(Reporting by Erwin Seba)
