MOSCOW, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Russia's Gazprom plansto use only its own natural gas for the Power of Siberiapipeline to China and sees no need to buy gas from domesticrivals, Gazprom Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev said on Thursday.
"Our assumption is that Power of Siberia will be supplied bygas from our fields. We see no need (to buy gas from othersuppliers)," Medvedev told the Reuters Russia Investment Summit.
In 2014, gas producer Gazprom and China's CNPC signed acontract which envisages that gas supplies via the pipelinewould begin in 2019. Gazprom plans to supply China with 38billion cubic metres of gas per year over 30 years.
