HOUSTON, Jan 16 (Reuters) - No start date has been set for aplanned overhaul of the second-largest crude distillation unitat Motiva Enterprises' 600,250 barrel per day (bpd) refinery inPort Arthur, Texas, said sources familiar with the company'splans.
The start of the planned 45-day overhaul of the 195,000 bpdCDU called VPS-4 at the Motiva Port Arthur refinery iscontingent on the successful completion of the seven-weekoverhaul currently underway on the plant's 92,000 bpdgasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit, which beganon Tuesday, the sources said.
Motiva has blocked the entire spring from late March toearly June as the possible time to carry out the work on theCDU, which is the second largest of three at the refinery, alongwith a 49,000 bpd catalytic reformer, a hydrotreater and asulfur recovery unit, according to the sources.
