Eni, trattative vendita quota Mozambico a rilento per calo petrolio

MILAN, May 29 (Reuters) - Le trattative fra Eni e ipotenziali interessati al 15% del giacimento petrolifero inMozambico, inclusa l'utility cinese Huadian, si stannotrascinando a seguito delle differenze legate al prezzo, secondoalcune fonti industriali e bancarie.

La major petrolifera italiana punta a vendere asset per 8miliardi di euro nei prossimi cinque anni per crescere in nuovimercati e proteggere il dividendo.

Un quarto di questo importo dovrebbe arrivare dalla cessionedi quote di minoranza in aree come Mozanbico, Congo e Ghana,senza rinunciare comunque all'operatorship dei campi.

Nel Mozambico l'obiettivo è scendere dal 50% detenuto nelcapo 4 anche se la volointà di mantenere l'operatorship potrebbeescludere major come Exxon e Shell che tendonoa favorire investimenti di controllo nei grossi progettipetroliferi, sostengono le fonti.

"E' da un po' che Eni è in trattative con Huadian, sebbeneci siano anche altri interessati. L'obiettivo è di chiuderequest'anno", dice una fonte a conoscenza della questione.

Nessun commento da Eni.

"C'è interesse... bisogna vedere se Eni ha rivisto leproprie attese sul prezzi", aggiunge un altro banchiere

Due anni fa la major vendette il 20% del campo alla cineseCnpc per 4,2 miliardi di dollari. Ma in questi anni il prezzodel petrolio si è dimezzato, insieme a un balzo della capacitàglobale di export di gnl e al rallentamento della domanda. Tuttoquesto ha fatto scendere l'entusiasmo, mentre Eni è riluttante acedere sul prezzo, dicono le fonti.

Secondo un analista del settore, il 15% della quota detenutada Eni in Mozambico oggi avrebbe un valore di 1,5 miliardi didollari.

"Alla luce di questa incertezza nel prezzo, Eni potrebbedecidere di vendere prima il Congo considerato che è tuttopetrolio, facile da estrarre e molto veloce nel raggiungere ilmercato", dice l'analista.

Lo scorso aprile, il Cfo Massimo Mondazzi, disse che Eniriuscirà a vendere almeno un asset epslorativo quest'anno.
