AMSTERDAM, Jan 29 (Reuters) - Royal Dutch Shell on
Friday said it was disappointed with a Dutch appeals court
verdict which ruled that its Nigerian subsidiary SPDC was
responsible for damage caused by oil spills in the Niger Delta.
"We continue to believe that the spills in Oruma and Goi
were the result of sabotage," the oil company said in a
statement.
"We are therefore disappointed that this court has made a
different finding on the cause of these spills and in its
finding that SPDC is liable."
