UK EXECUTIVE CHANGE SUMMARY: New CFOs At Ideagen And Bioventix

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Wednesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Ideagen PLC - Nottinghamshire-based risk management software - Emma Hayes joins as chief financial officer, succeeding Graeme Spenceley, as announced in January. Spenceley retires as director but remains company secretary and financial advisor to board. Hayes was financial director for Capital Delivery & Commercial at water works Severn Trent PLC.

Bioventix PLC - Farnham, Surrey-based high-affinity monoclonal antibodies - Hires Bruce Hiscock as CFO, effective immediately. Hiscock was chief executive officer and CFO of everyLIFE Technologies, which provides digital care planning solutions to social care providers. Prior to that, he was managing director of Mitie Security Systems, part of Mitie Group PLC.

PV Crystalox Solar PLC - Abingdon, Oxfordshire-based photovoltaic wafer maker - Matthew Wethey steps down as CFO and leaves company to save costs. Peter Finnegan appointed as part-time CFO and company secretary.

Canadian Overseas Petroleum Ltd - oil project developer in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa - Aleksandra Owad steps down as CFO for "personal reasons". Ryan Gaffney, who has been acting as interim CFO since early June will be CFO from Thursday. Gaffney is an investment banker, spending 13 years with Canaccord in London and Toronto.

Chesnara PLC - Preston-based life and pensions - David Brand steps down from board immediately to become chair of Chesnara's UK business Countrywide Assured PLC. Hires Eamonn Flanagan as independent non-executive director with immediate effect. Flanagan also joined the board of Randall & Quilter Investment Holdings Ltd at the start of June. He co-founded Shore Capital Markets and currently also is a non-executive director of Shore peer AJ Bell PLC.

Inspired Energy PLC - Lancashire-based energy procurement consultant - Hires Sarah Flannigan as independent non-executive director from July 28. Flannigan was chief information officer at EDF Energy and also at the National Trust.

Petra Diamonds Ltd - diamond producer in South Africa and Tanzania - Pat Bartlett retires as independent non-executive director. Tony Lowrie will retire as senior independent director at the end of the 2020 annual general meeting, with a new senior independent director to be appointed in due course. Petra held its 2019 AGM in November.

Dods Group PLC - London-based media technology - Con Conlon and Munira Ibrahim appointed to board immediately as executive directors. Conlon founded Merit Group, which Dods bought in July of last year and has run the business in India since. Ibrahim is chief revenue officer for Dods, joining in May 2019 from Reuters. Conlon recently was named as managing director of Dods Technology and Ibrahim as MD of Dods Intelligence.

XLMedia PLC - Manchester-based technology services for online platform operators, such as in gambling and personal finance - Promotes CFO Iain Balchin to board. Balchin joined XLMedia in February.

Majedie Investments PLC - London-based investment trust - Adds Christopher Getley and Richard Killingbeck to board as non-executive directors, while Paul Gadd retires, having served on the board since 2009. Getley was CEO of Westhouse Securities, prior to which was a director of Morgan Grenfell Asset Management and a partner and fund manager at Cazenove. He is currently executive chair of AgPlus Diagnostics Ltd and non-executive chair of Masawara PLC, a southern Africa-focussed investor. Killingbeck was CEO of WH Ireland Group PLC and is currently MD of Harris Allday, a subsidiary of EFG Private Bank.

Third Point Offshore Investors Ltd - closed-end fund managed by Daniel Loeb's Third Point LLC - Chris Legge retires as non-executive director after 13 years on the board.
