The Australian oil & gas exploration and production company says all necessary approvals from the government of India for the sale of its participating interest in the Bhandut field have now been completed. Following the approval, all conditions for the sale of its interest in Bhandut have now been met with settlement of the USD0.3 million consideration from the buyer, Kiri & Co Logistics Private Ltd, expected later this month. "This sale provides Oilex with additional current and future cash which will be applied to the existing Cambay and East Irish Sea projects," it says.

----------

AIM - LOSERS

----------

Arkle Resources PLC, down 17% at 0.91p, 12-month range 0.4p-2.2p. The gold and zinc explorer notes the significant rise in its share price on Monday and references made on an investor forum to a March article from bne IntelliNews regarding a potential reverse takeover of Arkle by a Mongolian mining organisation. Arkle confirms that the 162 group of companies - including Arkle - were approached about assisting with the financing of the mining project by an intermediary, but have since declined to progress matters, and there are no discussions regarding a reverse takeover taking place.
