LONDON (Alliance News) - Minds + Machines Group Ltd said Monday that early interest in its newly launched.law top level domain has been "outstanding."
The company has launched a seven day early access program for the .law domain on a first come first serve basis, which ended Monday. It has now also added free registration for law schools, starting with US schools, under a new programme which will waive registration and renewal fees for domain names for accredited law schools.
"The early interest in .law by the legal community has been outstanding. The legal profession seems to agree with our foundational policy: that every name sold under .law or .abogado must belong to a qualified lawyer and that there is real value in domain names governed by meaningful, verified policies," said Chief Executive Officer Antony Van Couvering in a statement.
Shares in Minds + Machines were up 7.0% at 9.50 pence Monday afternoon.
