The Hamriyah, United Arab Emirates-based provider of oil field services says it is working with "international rig operator" for key upgrade work on three jack-up drilling rigs for deployment in Gulf region. "The first of the rigs will arrive at Lamprell's Hamriyah quayside this month and work will begin immediately. The second and third rigs will follow later," Lamprell says. Contract is defined as "small", meaning value is below USD50 million.

In the six months to March 31, the company recorded a pretax profit of GBP6.3 million, down 39% from GBP10.4 million a year before.
