DIRECTOR DEALINGS SUMMARY: Ladbrokes New Chairman, Non-Exec Buy Shares

LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Thursday.

Ladbrokes said two of its board members, including the newly appointed chairman, bought a combined total of 80,000 shares in the bookmaker on Wednesday.

John Kelly bought 30,000 shares at 116.02p each. Ladbrokes last Friday announced it appointed Kelly as the company's new chairman ahead of the proposed merger with Coral Group, following the departure of predecessor Peter Erskine.

Kelly was a senior non-executive director at Ladbrokes prior to the appointment, and has now formally taken over the role from Erskine, who announced he was leaving the company back in May.

The company also said Non-Executive Director Mark Pain bought 50,000 shares at 116.27p each.

The total holdings of the directors were not disclosed.

The stock closed up 0.4% at 116.99p Thursday.

Trifast said Geoffrey Budd, its managing director for Europe, sold a total of 242,736 shares. The shares were sold in two separate transactions with 75,736 shares sold at 120p on Friday. The remaining 167,000 shares were sold at 117.16p per share on Wednesday. Budd's total beneficial interest is 307,264 shares, representing 0.26% of the issued share capital. The company also said Senior Independent Director Neil Warner bought 22,750 shares at 117.50p each on Tuesday. Shares in the industrial equipment company closed up 0.4% at 115.00p Thursday.

Aldermore Group said Pamela-Jane Mack, a person connected to Chief Financial Officer James Mack, bought 8,075 shares at a price of 229p per share Wednesday. Following this transaction, the Macks hold 436,659 shares, representing a 0.127% stake in the lender. The stock closed down 1.0% at 226.70p Thursday.

Phoenix Group Holdings said Fiona Clutterbuck, head of strategy, sold 10,000 shares at a price of GBP9.11283 each on Thursday. Following the sale, Clutterbuck holds 40,000 shares. The stock closed down 0.2% at 912.50p Thursday.

In a separate statement the trust said Victoria Hastings, a director, bought 7,000 shares at 152.06p each on Tuesday. Hastings holds 19,500 shares. The stock closed down 1.0% at 159.00p Thursday.
