Gulf Investment Fund PLC - Isle of Man-based investment company focused on countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council - Completes tender offer for 1.2 million shares, equal to 2.9% of the company's shares in issue on Tuesday. The resulting post-tender offer share capital of Gulf Investment will be 38.9 million shares, above the minimum size condition of 38.0 million shares necessary for the offer to proceed. The tender price will be disclosed by Gulf Investment once the realisation of the tender pool commences, expected on April 16, according to the firm's original announcement in March.

IN BRIEF: Gulf Investment Fund net asset value falls in third quarter

Gulf Investment Fund PLC - Isle of Man-based investment fund focusing on Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman - Reports 1% fall in its net asset value in the three months ended September 30, no values were given. Explains it outperformed the benchmark S&P GCC Composite Index in the quarter by 0.6%. Notes the fund was helped by a slight underweight in Saudi Arabia, which was down 3.5%, and Kuwait, down 2.0%, and being overweight in Dubai, up 9.8%, and Qatar, up 1.8%. In the nine months to the end of September the GIF NAV rose 19.4%, outperforming the benchmark by 15.7%, company says. Believes the outlook for the Gulf Cooperation Council is good with socio-economic reforms, tourism initiatives and mega infrastructure projects.

Gulf Investment Fund PLC - Isle of Man-based investment fund focusing on Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman - Tenders 1.4 million shares, equal to 3.4% of its shares in issue as at October 3. Resulting post-tender offer share capital is 40.1 million shares, above the minimum size condition of 38.0 million shares. Says it will now either match buyers with shares tendered or allocate the assets and liabilities of the company between the continuing pool and the tender pool. Following this, the investment adviser will sell the assets in the tender pool, as required.
