EXECUTIVE CHANGES: PetroNeft Seats New Chair; Shoe Zone Loses Foot

Mon, 22nd Feb 2021 16:16

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Monday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

PetroNeft Resources PLC - oil & gas exploration and production in Tomsk Oblast in Russia - David Golder retires immediately after 15 years with PetroNeft. Alastair McBain, who joined the board only last month, is promoted to non-executive chair. McBain was the board nominee of PetroNeft partner and shareholder Belgrave Naftogas. At the beginning of 2020 Sarum Energy, a UK company in which McBain is the majority shareholder, purchased Belgrave Naftogas from the Vitol group. Vitol is a Geneva-based energy company which McBain began working for in 1995 until last year. He also was chief executive officer of Arawak Energy and started his career with a 17-year stint at oil major Royal Dutch Shell PLC. "I have been contemplating retirement for a while but wanted to wait until the right time," explained Golder. "Alastair's appointment to the board allowed me to take the decision."

----------

Mining Minerals & Metals PLC - investment vehicle seeking acquisitions in natural resources - Promotes Non-Executive Director Roy Pitchford to chair, effective immediately. Pitchford will be responsible for reviewing potential reverse takeover targets.

----------

Shoe Zone PLC - Leicester, England-based footwear retailer online and from 460 stores in UK - Finance Director Peter Foot leaves, effective immediately. Says board has started the search for a replacement and Foot's departure won't have any effect on annual results, due to be released on March 8. Earlier this month, Shoe Zone said it expects to report revenue of GBP122.6 million for financial year that ended October 3, down 24% from financial 2019 but in line with previous guidance. Expects pretax loss of GBP14.6 million, swung from pretax profit of GBP11.3 million and worse than previous guidance.

----------

Fulcrum Utility Services Ltd - Sheffield-based multi-utility infrastructure and services provider - Hires Dominic Lavelle as senior independent non-executive director, effective immediately. Lavelle was chief financial officer of SDL PLC, a language services firm that merged with RWS Holdings PLC back in November. Lavelle currently is a non-executive director of FIH Group PLC, which operates services in the Falkland Islands, and of convenience store chain McColl's Retail Group PLC.

----------

Frenkel Topping Group PLC - Manchester-based financial adviser and asset protection services - Hires Zoe Holland as non-executive director, effective immediately. Holland is a solicitor who is managing director of ZebraLC, an adviser to the UK legal sector, having founded the business in 2012.

----------

Rambler Metals & Mining PLC - Ming copper-gold mine in Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada - Hires Priya Patil as independent non-executive director, effective immediately. Patil is a lawyer and investment banker who was a director of Alexandria Minerals Corp, a Toronto-listed gold explorer, until it was acquired by O3 Mining Inc in 2019.

----------

Polarean Imaging PLC - London-based medical‑imaging technology - Promotes Chief Financial Officer Chuck Osborne to board, effective immediately. Osborne joined Polarean as CFO in April 2019, having held the same position at Innocrin Pharmaceuticals Inc and Scynexis Inc.

----------

Real Estate Credit Investments Ltd - specialist investor in European real estate credit markets - Hires Colleen McHugh as independent non-executive director, starting on Monday next week. McHugh is a Guernsey resident who has worked as an investment manager and private banker with institutions including HSBC Holdings PLC and Barclays PLC. Meanwhile, Graham Harrison will stand down as a director at the company's upcoming annual general meeting.
