SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Cineworld recovers; IPF revenue climbs

Thu, 28th Apr 2022 11:08

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Thursday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Cineworld PLC, up 9.8% at 30.84 pence, 12-month range 26.27p-101.65p. A better mood in equity markets lifts the picture house operator on Thursday. Prior to Thursday's session, the stock had fallen 11% so far this week. Thursday's gains mean it is now down 2.7% since last week Friday.

----------

International Personal Finance PLC, up 5.3% at 97.40 pence, 12-month range 85.30p-158.00p. The unsecured consumer credit says first quarter revenue rises 10% annually, "driven by growth in the receivables portfolio". Chief Executive Gerard Ryan says: "Although we remain cautious due to the uncertain macroeconomic environment together with the impacts of the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, we expect to deliver good credit issued growth for the year as a whole through increasing customer choice while maintaining a clear focus on portfolio quality and costs."

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Bakkavor Group PLC, down 5.2% at 104.81p, 12-month range 96.80p-143.80p. The fresh food firm goes ex-dividend on Thursday, meaning new buyers no longer qualify for the latest payout.
