UK EXECUTIVE CHANGE SUMMARY: M&G Chair Evans Takes Temporary Break

Mon, 11th Jan 2021 14:58

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Monday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

M&G PLC - London-based asset manager - Chair Mike Evans takes temporary leave of absence due to stress-related illness. No other details are provided. Senior Independent Director Fiona Clutterbuck to be interim chair, while Clare Thompson will be interim senior independent director. Clutterbuck also is chair of Paragon Banking Group PLC and of Nordic financial services group Sampo.

----------

Bowleven PLC - Africa-focused oil and gas exploration - Promotes Non-Executive Director Jack Arnoff to chair, effective immediately. Arnoff joined the Bowleven board back in November. Company said Arnoff takes over as it targets a final investment decision at its Etinde project in Cameroon during 2021.

----------

Indivior PLC - Slough, Berkshire-based pharmaceutical firm focused on treating addiction and mental illness - Senior Independent Director Daniel Tasse to stand down from board at next annual general meeting "in order to focus on his increasing business commitments", after more than six years on the board and four as senior independent director. Tasse also had stepped in as interim chair back in June. Indivior already was looking for an additional independent non-executive director and now will look for two.

----------

Duke Royalty Ltd - London-based provider of financing solutions to private companies whose owners want to retain equity control - Hires Peter Madouros as chief investment officer, while current CIO Jim Webster moves over to chair the company's Investment Committee. Madouros was a senior member of the investment team of Pollen Street Capital, Duke Royalty's debt provider.

----------

Kavango Resources PLC - mineral exploration projects in Botswana - Hires David Smith to be non-executive chair and promotes Ben Turney to board as executive director, both effective immediately. Smith is a partner at Druces LLS, Kavango's solicitors. Turney has been working as a consultant to Kavango since this past April.

----------

Remote Monitored Systems PLC - London-based data collection and surveying firm - In line with announcement late last month, adds Antony Legge and Richard Clarke to board as non-executive directors, with Legge replacing Paul Ryan as chair from Friday last week. Legge was a corporate finance advisor and acted as a nominated adviser to AIM companies. Clarke currently is finance director of PowerPhotonic Ltd, a manufacturer of advanced laser optics. "Whilst the immediate focus is on the production of masks using Pharm 2 Farm's nanotechnology, this is just one near-term application for this technology," Legge comments. "The challenge for the new board will be to effectively utilise the resources from the recent placing to commercialise the group's intellectual property assets across all the businesses, most of which are still at an early stage in their development, in order to meet current valuation expectations."

----------

Bushveld Minerals Ltd - vanadium production in South Africa - Reports the death of independent non-executive director Dolly Mokgatle, who had joined the board back in March.

----------

Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd - Bangladesh-based generic pharmaceutical maker - Confirms Quamrun Naher Ahmed and Reem Shamsuddoha as non-executive directors following due diligence. Ahmed and Shamsuddoha represent two Beximco shareholders as non-independent non-executive directors. Ahmed represents IFIC Bank Ltd and IFIC Securities Ltd, and Shamsuddoha represents Absolute Construction & Engineering Ltd
