Was looking over a lot of Data today and thought I would share a good few sources of the UK Oil Industry. While many of us perhaps invest in a Small/Medium Major Oil Company, perhaps we aren't aware of how skilled and peerless the UK Oil + Gas Industry is? How crucial it is also for the generation of wealth for our nation? Its maybe a post you read here or there and think " Aye right". Show me the Fundamentals only. Well I think we can all see the North Sea is once again where explorers go and Risks are taken....only this time....Technology increases Safety, Research gathering , locating and extracting the Oil. Acuracy of the Data and drawings seems amazing also.Drilling success, and profit for the Explorers is the Reward. 2011+ onwards coupled with $80-$100/Barrel ratio that makes it a rewarding ,hunting season for the Small Caps Oilies more than the rest. Anyways, it seems there is a campaign to advertise and inform the UK people on our Oil History and North Sea goals. Perhaps some can see it , but it isn't exactly hanging from the Billboards. You can take from these sites what you will and awareness costs nothing apart from time. Seems the BP Oil spill, like a Cloud maybe, has a few faint "silver linings". http://www.oilandgasuk.co.uk/index.cfm These guys consider themselves "Oil & Gas UK is the leading representative organisation for the UK offshore oil and gas industry. Its members are licensed by the government to explore for and produce oil and gas in UK waters and those who form any part of the industry’s supply chain." The Mag is free from the website.. http://www.oilandgasuk.co.uk/cmsfiles/modules/publications/pdfs/CO013.pdf The front cover says it all really... "The UK’s Offshore Oil and Gas - an industry to be proud of Britain’s offshore oil and gas industry is of strategic national importance, but today it is at a crossroads. Its long-term health will require major investment and clear-sighted policies." For some awareness on the whole process and basics in searching for Oil on UK waters or abroad. Arctic is also mentioned and worth a look. Good PDF pages are given from here. http://www.ogp.org.uk/ From this website below, you can find out the Fuel calcs,Tax levels and plans. The whole shabang! http://www.ukpia.com/home.aspx No of petrol stations and Refineries in our UK. Loads of the facts. From that link I went to Useful Links and at top comes this Chap! http://www.brindex.co.uk/default.asp?contentID=1 Their Aim is... " BRINDEX aims to demonstrate and promote the vital contribution British E&P companies make throughout the industry and towards the local economy by increasing awareness of the independents' achievements in developing oil and gas reserves on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) and, increasingly, elsewhere in the world." 178 Drilling Licenses are held for Offshore by a Brindex Member / 7 Onshore. You can see Member list and who is who.UK listed they are. (The AIM is a volatile Market and I don't Ramp for people to throw wads of Cash in. I also set a figure of approx 10% max for myself.)(The Majors of the FTSE100 are there also in the North Sea, again this is awareness building only.) http://www.brindex.co.uk/default.asp?contentID=3 A recommended list of some other websites brings me to list the following. http://www.oilvoice.com/open/ Has 800 Oil + Gas and 1800 Service Companies on the profile search on right off page. The UK and Aberdeen has major Engineering Assets and People. 40 Years in the North Sea, is a fine education. ie Check out Subsea7, or Analysis or Research or Engineering and ROV Pilots...There is a major Expert Industry in the UK, that our world does not have...or majority don't. Even now we see UK companies being courted to help countries "Get their Oil"....
