You obviously have not met Rishi Sunak
That's a fair point. I have just tweeted big Dom as well. Honestly, with a new administration, new chancellor etc, I really think it is worth canvassing govt intervention again. Certainly nothing to lose from it.
Sunak? you would be better trying to convince Cummings....
I have encouraged shareholders to send tweets to Rishi Sunak...he's easy to find on Twitter. I have highlighted:
a) the politics - a conservative party backing a mine in the north with local PI's, jobs, exports, world-leading etc plus
b) the financial case based on unique product, pre-sales and a clear line of sight to operating cash flow.
Obviously not easy to make full presentation within the constraints of a tweet!
Odey is a sponsor of Boris, and he is also from Yorkshire. A lot may happen if the no vote wins, especially as our new chancellor represents Richmond
My first post on here after a few years of enjoying the view. Just did a quick phone call to my nominee account holders , very simple process to vote "no" . I appreciate that this will probably cost me even more than the heavy loss I am sitting on ,but having believed in CF for many years of holding , it looks like he and his Australian friends are starting to make the late Robert Maxwell look virtuous ! Really don't like the idea of him walking away with £7 million plus and a top post at AA .
Just spoke to interactive invester to register a no vote. Very straightforward. Logically this first offer cannot be the only offer in town for such an outstanding resource .
BBC Look North Yorkshire ran a piece about funding for Sirius in the form of IPA guarantees (on the 2nd September 2019 from memory just a couple of weeks before the bond was pulled). Can't recall the exact wording but something like 'government looks set to back Sirius'. It mentioned that Boris Johnson was keen to see the project go ahead. I wish I'd downloaded it!
The SM situation- the way politicians have been made to look foolish by championing the cause pre Brexit (Theresa May included) would make a good TV documentary (Panorama, say). Why have the Beeb not looked into making such a program, or have they and been dissuaded by the big players who want the lid keeping tightly shut.
Is it too late to pressurise them?
