Del I've given up on advfn they time me out all the time...I read your post on WPCT will you be posting on WPCT (lse) BB? Can access that chat board easily. Might be the best place for us to convene?
If your considering buying the CPS shares (2.822) your last chance will be on 3/10. If I had £5k spare it would not be going there. Having reduced my avc to under 7 from 16.8 I'm only expecting to get my money back sometime in the next 2-5 years. Investors aspirations for this Co have continually been dashed since the IPO and we're in need of a miracle for it to be any different this time around. Might happen....might not, that's the best I can put on our situation. Is it a 50:50? Tough call as none of us know whether W has any intention of a) returning to the market, b) seeking a buyer, or c) just keeping the whole shebang in his PCT fund. Given (c) I've done my money. So I rate my chances of seeing 7 no more than 4/10. Common sense says if he gets an offer he can't refuse he will sell but there's "nowt so queer as folk" as some wag said. Fear the worst anything else will be a bonus is about as optimistic as I can get (even after reading rev's post of throwaway devices & offerings from Nigerian Princes). Guess I'm too punch drunk to think straight anymore!
PAL might be quiet but it's making me more money than SPHR ! Incidentally I was initially attracted to it because of its ISIN code........
Still here....could be Tuesday?
Take it that this site will close as from midnight tonight? I'm assuming that a public quote is a prerequisite for a BB chat forum? REA holdings has a site but zero interest from shareholders as nothing was posted for over two years from memory and I'm sure there are others, instance Eq Palm oil last post May'17. I'd have thought lse would prefer a site being used regularly than one with zero interest? Perhaps they could start forums for 'private cos?' at least this one would be 'used'. Fear Del is right and we will go the way of FTO etc... though I cling to the hope that as we are a going concern if only in the conference division, we might yet escape the axe.
Oh dear....implantable throw away devices..? No idea it must be that little Japanese guy in a back St somewhere! Dare not think of Sphere tech being used in other areas when we barely sell in our main one. That's another 10 year wait no doubt. I guess licencing out the tech is one way but HO seem to have discounted that idea. At least there are options that I have not considered but as to viability is it more 'blue sky' thinking? Guess we don't know the half of it! I thought P had the potential to be a 'blockbuster' product. I was wrong. I don't want to be disappointed again.
They have recently started using dissolving micro cameras that can take thousands of images of the internal body before been excreted out after the job is done... So I agree...lots of changes underway out there...
Like wise here JL...Will remain a holder but it might be a handy page to see if there is any sp news as a private company. The web site seems to be under construction of sorts....but they may keep us up to some kind of speed. There are lots of things they no longer have to do as a private company but they may still do all the same..
I signed up yonks ago but don't think I ever got any news from HO. Oh well maybe this time? The dealing service won't interest me as I intend to hold for a min of 3 years which hopefully by then the value might be around 5 assuming there's not zillions of extra shares issued. Till then......
You made me visit the corporate website. While pottering about I read some of the Directors’ profiles. One is involved in implantable devices for arrhythmia heart problems and another deep into devices for diabetics. This got me thinking that a real big business could be made out of weekly disposable sensors that monitor life threatening medical conditions. Throwaway device at say £500 per week does not sound too far fetched using Sphere technology. Daily disposable contact lenses were not cheap too start with. Should be easy to link up a device to an Apple Watch say for wireless connectivity and boom we have a stratospherically valuable business that could push Apple into the trillions.
The SPHR is putting a matched bargain page up shortly... http://www.spheremedical.com/investor-relations/share-holder-information/shareholder-dealing Not up and running yet but worth book marking if you still hold shares here... Also the web site appears to be changing so perhaps they will give some news in time. I have subscribed for news updates...again worth doing if you are still a holder....
Your shares will be transferred into the private Co in due course. Check with your broker.
Does this mean our shareholdings have evaporated into thin air? I'm confused
How on earth do you post on that crappy site Advfn? It's a bloody nightmare on a mob. Tbh I cannot be sared with the rigmarole I'm sure it's designed to drive you up the wall...well me anyways!
I think the FTO BB stayed open for about a week after it went....
How many dim duffers said "up up and away" in relation to this heap of sh*t.
Why should I cheer on a private company? Let it collapse. And the sooner the better. This was one of my first shares. Then there was Fitbug, sphericals, and xtr. That's right-xtr. And it's going the same way.. Not a going concern but going out the window. Oh I forgot about that heap of sh*t kin.
To all you LTHs and believers in Proxima pity we didn’t have the management and BoD to make it happen. Hopefully W will world the axe over the incompetents and Sphere will prosper as a private co.
Just gone private according to the rns
Morning rugs...Good point on the ISA thingy...mine were not protected.
buying up to the closure last night. Whether this was the closing of short positions or whether some are gambling on SPHR as a private company is open to question. Guess all those holding the shares in an ISA will need transfer out as I don't think it's allowed hold shares in a private company under an ISA wrapper.
I'm still wedded to Sphere for better or worse though owing to my secretary having a day off I didn't purchase any more shares (I can't navigate the hundreds of instructions). Good to hear that Sphere will have a section for 'matched' deals to be settled but be careful I can see problems ahead in agreeing a price in a vacuum....somebody might know something not generally available to all holders...you get my point! Surprised lse is still open for posts now we are private company. Maybe the delisting becomes official /effective today. So could be close or midnight tonight?
Good luck to those of us old/new in this share. Was a good message board here, was good to check in here and then to see everyone's views and opinions. Rugs, Del, Cellis and last but not least John take care guys.
I've had response from the CFO Richard Wright re:matched bargaining. It appears that the company website will have a section for matched bargaining in due course. Due course feels like a few months, but lets see - was expecting a spreadsheet to maintain data not an interactive website tool. All good.
JL is still in here......like me self....
