I prefer to see the quote and in future will stay away from NT
Its unusual for me to trade small percentages, when i sore the execution price of 0.82 i thought it unlikely i will get the money back in but i do still hold 1,000,000 shares. Chesh i didn't see the option to state a price seems sensible though.
Do you not put a price in on an NT trade with the Halifax..........?
you do with HL........... and can be refused........!
All the best (seems odd that an negotiation starts bit one sided........... !)
Fair point but IMO ( fwiw - which is probably not much ) you sold way too early.
That said a profit is a profit so fair play. Me, I'll hold until I pass my ave (2.08) - then I might consider selling some to derisk as like many others I'm overexposed after averaging down since 2017.
The intention would be to hold a more reasonable number of shares and hope for a decent profit from that point.Lets hope we all get there - it looks possible given we were at 2.43 not long ago.
I'm no math magician or professional trader. I put my house buying money in Desire Petroleum (Watergate scandal) about 10 years ago moved into my van where i lived for four and a half years and have spent the rest of my time trying to make up for the mistake of entering the markets. I have not calculated my profit from the bottom of this crash as it does not compare to a 10 year loss. I have however moved my average here since the beginning of the bug from 4.3 ish to 1.9. my low bye's where a good choice leaving the execution of my trade to the professionals was not a good choice but it was my choice.
Ever played Blackjack ? Your trade ( £1750 profit ) ? wiped just about that much off the value of my ( and many others ) holding.
Was it really worth it ? All you did was give the broker half what you had - and the rest of us did.
Interesting to here other companies doing better with it i have found Halifax to be really bad.
Bit unlucky there Lee, I have used the same with Barclays a couple of times this month on other stocks and in both cases they got me a slightly better deal than the trades that were going through on L2 at the time.
GL
I didn't expect them to start a new global stock market crash with there level of negotiating skills. :)
I was lucky in that respect only my last two buys 500,000 and 250,000 shares at 62 and 52. i had every intention of buying back in just wanted to lock a little profit and repurchase later.
The only people here that are making money are the ones who have been extremely lucky or must have some inside knowledge, which is highly unlikely. Those who see blue at the start of the day and buy in thinking ' This is it' usually end up 10-30% down on the day. Today seems to be no exception.
I only used that once before and was massively disappointed then as well, really annoyed with my self for trying it again. they say they will get the best price on market at the time i expected the worst based on the last time i did it, i expected .90. this is not a negotiation but a give away. I should have done a trade plan. nevermind.
Lee, that was n't your best move - more sorry for you.
Thats why I don't like broker negotiated trade.
Great News firstly because it hopefully takes Solo to the cusp of selling there asset or funding the work, I don’t think the SP reflex’s the board we have but I feel they let shareholders down on there update going forward, I also feel that the word “Oil” in it name won’t do us any favours really in the coming days/weeks and maybe months, I topped up more on AEX as I always said I’m overweighted here but look to buy on any weakness as I suspect there will be on lack of news on funding worries in the short term GLA !!
good news in here too. the only fear for Solo, if there is no sale soon, SOLO may need to raise funding for the next drilling?
Totally agree with you Joe … solo have pumped our money into Tanz and we long term suffering holders are still getting little back even after this long awaited news …. this needs to explode for us …. and to see the mms walking this down in early march on nothing and now letting it move upwards slowly ….
I put in a negotiated trade sell for 750,000 shares and Halifax gave it away 15 percent or so bellow the current price, i would never had chosen that. the bid ask at the time was 90-100.
Sitting duck for takeover of assets in today's climate, anyway who needs Solo in the mix? All depends on what was evident in the seismic tests.
The Omani's or another party trrime?
Whilst I firmly agree with you on the sale of the asset it would be nice to see the drill go ahead just to realise some more growth, will see what happens I suppose but a quicker sale now means the opportunity to buy readily producing European based assets at a knockdown cost.
Correct.
Yes good news but please don't rejoice at the fact that we may get to 1.8p by the end of the week. As a LTH I need this to go up to 24th just to get my money back. When that happens I will rejoice. I'm sure that I am not alone in this situation either. it's been a very long and draining 10 years so let's hope the future is brighter and profitable for ALL the LTH not just the recent purchaserstudy. GLA
Solo should be at 1.80 come Jun/Jul fingers crossed :o)
obone thanks, this has got massive legs in the future along with AEX suspect delays but will happen this year, following SHI hoping for breakout upto 26-28 this week and doing ok on CERP GLA just so sad I sold ODX last week but you can`t get all the fish I guess !!!
