Redfrog77 - maybe they consider them worthless which in a way they are if you need cash now. Like I said 3 days after suspension " when " these get back on a market in whatever form is the most pertinent thing with Solo. Why? Simple, because Solo never achieve anything fast or as a matter of historical fact anything at all. What happens when the 6 months is up?
"and some have put them aside for 5 long laborious years and still! solo delivers a big fat zero"
Someone can't read a chart clearly.
0p
Probably due to the suspension Red.
Dear all,
Does anyone know why there is a nil value against the Solo shares?

Afternoon Safetrader, no I have my own translation business to run thanks. I do like your other Tanzanian company post on ACP on the 15th. Seems there might be some similarities.
"My advice is get out if you do not truly believe the story, but if you do, then hold tight through the bumps for the real prize !!! AIMVHO DYOR GLA"
You are not by any chance Doug Rycroft Babelfish66 ?

Tanzania is on the verge of being connected with more gas supplies regions. This plan to boost electricity generation was announced by the country’s Deputy Minister for Energy, Subaira Mgalu. The regions involved include Arusha, Dodoma, Tanga, Kilimanjaro and Morogoro.
According to Mgalu, the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) has already embarked on a grand infrastructural project to connect natural gas for domestic and industrial use in the Dar es Salaam, Coast, Lindi and Mtwara regions.
“The plan is to reduce dependence of electricity as the only source of power for production by the industries,” he says.
Tanzania is in the process of implementing a mega hydropower at Stiegler’s Gorge along the Rufiji River in the Selous Game Reserve that will produce 2,100 megawatts
The country, with a population of approximately 55 million, has just 1,500MW of installed grid capacity.
Earlier, the Tanzanian President John Magufuli, promised to turn the country into a middle income industrial economy by 2025.

Good morning Safetrader, I was making an observation and not glossing over anything, the board made the situation very clear in the RNS on the 20th December.
"Solo enjoys an ongoing constructive dialogue with ONE Dyas, however there can be no guarantees that new mutually beneficial terms can be agreed, and as a result, the deal may not proceed."
Black and white and straightforward.
All the best.
Coming on for 3 months without any SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENTS on a deal that was seemingly done !! Gloss over it all you want and buy the excuses - but fact - the deal is clearly in jeopardy and suspension now seems very convenient !!
Good morning. Did the board not say on the 9th of Jan that they will update shareholders once there was some meaningful progress. Bigdouble has no issues contacting the board and getting a reply?
RE: RNS - Broker appointment09 Jan 2020 11:00
Thanks for the email and I fully appreciate the query.
Rest assured that this update is a mere formality. The Company does not currently have a formal broker following the termination of Shore, and Peel Hunt and Canaccord are only due to assume that formal position upon completion of any deal. As such Strand have stepped into that role to fulfil regulatory requirements while the company remains in suspension.
Please note that the company will make a further statement to market regarding the deal when there are meaningful developments.

Doug Rycroft with a very smug face interview talking about the deal as if it was done and dusted. Plenty of noise at the time - and now - NOTHING !!!! You can't even get to speak to a BOD member - not replying to e-mails and apparently no available phone number that you can contact any of them on - they have simply gone AWOL !!!! This is AIM - this is simply disgusting !! AIMVHO
Hi Kej, don't take your frustrations out on C Perkins he has probably contributed to this board more than anyone and without any agenda, you are always free to sell when this comes back to the market, we all have our own opinions but its unfair to blame others for our own shortcomings, I genuinely wish you well and hope this comes good for all of us, do your own research and adhere to it that way you only have yourself to blame if things don't go your way.
"By the end of the month" has been cperkin's go to mantra for OVER three years (at least) old bod and new. His only other comment is some variation like "early next quarter." But don't take my word on it just look at his posts!
As for the earlier recommendation to put these aside for 6 months, I would keep an eye out earlier than that as what happens in 10 or 11 weeks from now if we are still suspended? The 6 months will then be up.
All guesswork on timescales DB. In saying that I would be surprised if we don't see an update on the North Sea deal and the RTO by the end of this month.
Thanks a lot for the replies. They put the rest of the posts into some context for me now.
Any idea of timeframes?
Regards,
Hi DB, similar to Martin's post.

As far as I can work out the shares are suspended and the company seems to be being renamed as Scirocco and taking over assets from, ONE-Dyas and waiting for licenses for its interests in Tanzania. All of which, if they come to fruition, should be good for shareholders if anyone from the company ever bothers to tell us. We are very definitely being given the mushroom treatment at the moment. Put these shares back in bottom drawer and look again in another 6 months.
I have quite a few shares in these but they are a relatively small part of my portfolio and I have not looked at the share for 6 months, which I know is very remiss of me.
There seems to be tons of interesting posts but i do not have time to read them all, so can someone kindly give me a summary of where we are with this share?
Thanks in advance,

Agree totally Caddy1
I'm sure the trolling is just attention seeking ( it can't have any impact on a suspended share, there is a certain type who get pleasure in winding up real investors ( it takes all sorts I suppose.

Good morning all.
Someone forget to put the kids to bed last night? It seems no one can manage to string a debate together beyond a one line statement of nothing.
