Got my shares in my Lloyds account this morning nearly £6k I never had last week :)
To be honest it's been a nightmare chasing up the shares, nobody is interested. It's my own fault for buying Sable mining shares many years ago. Anyway I will hold as still over the moon it's all worked out, I was massively shocked when I checked my share dealing account yesterday. GLA
Waingrow, well done and good luck, l bought some a few months ago, waiting for HL to sort my cgh allocation will have to sell, wait for cash then buy into my ISA, HL don't do bed and ISA at the moment , poor service to be honest
Morning all. First time I have posted on here, I've been watching the Contango share situation for weeks and finally they sit in my HLFX share dealing account, checked yesterday and bingo, going to hold onto them, GLA.
HL account holders day will come, maybe September though , at least CGO rising nicely gla
Halifax has just gone in guys
Goood luck
cgo 7.6p now , keep going
yeah snap, they moved em out pretty fast, what annoys me is the inconsistency on that, I had Bellzone Mining shares too, and they got forced into receivership years ago too, but are still sat in my ISA
have to earn it to pay it , always a shame like mine , were in an isa
that is not going to help my CGT issue any!
At least CGO are up again
another day and nothing
Barclays are no better - utterly frustrating!
CGO 7p to sell, may it keep rising
I like cgo, think they are worth a hold , time will tell, gla whatever decision you take
edit:
certificates converted*
I think i'll bed and ISA mine right away to avoid the CGT issue down the line if i hold them for a rise, if they rise more before we gett he certificates, i'll dump them right away
Got another reply this morning - they're getting better in response timing!
"
Thank you for your message.
I'm afraid that we can't offer an accurate time frame on when this will be completed/
Converting certificates to electronic shares does typically take a matter of weeks, and as such we are anticipating a resolution of the matter shortly.
Please be assured that we are treating this as a matter of priority.
"
At least they haven't had to send the certificates back to be corrected, so that is something i guess.
Yep similar to my reply too
I finally got a response to my message..... nearly 3 weeks after I sent it !
"
Thank you for your email and please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in our response.
Following the demerger, we received Contango Holdings plc share certificates on 2 August 2022. We released these share certificates onto clients' accounts the next morning, 3 August.
As the shares are held in certificated form, they are currently unable to be traded. We have therefore arranged for Crest, the UK settlement system, to convert the shares into electronic form so they can be traded by our clients.
Once Crest have converted the shares, we will update clients' accounts with tradable, electronic Contango Holdings shares and notify you shortly afterwards.
If you have any other questions, please get back to me.
"
in short, meh.... nothing i didn't already know from messages here, supplied by people more on the ball.
So I have replied, pointing out that 3 weeks appears to be excessive for this conversion time, and is there an estimate for completion.
Will it be September, we wonder
I will very happy when this is all over and we get our shares on HL because I won't have to listen to RG, CBB and MB griping... Just kidding. I am waiting too. Can't be long now. I have been able to trade mine on ii for a week. I have a paltry amount in there but happy to wait for something just below CGT before selling. Lately I feel like I'm playing Monopoly and keep landing on Chance. This week one of my endowments which paid out in 2020 from 22 years ago wrote to tell me they'd underpaid me and here's a cheque for £big plus interest and apologies. Pass Go and collect ££££. Makes a nice change.
RG same here, sent a snotty a couple of days ago, still no reply, it makes you proud to be British, we have turned into a 3 rd rate nation, lack of care or urgency , or even doing the job right, hopefully our time will come
Parts of the last message I received from HL on 11th August:
“I can confirm Hargreaves Lansdown recieved the stock dividend from Consolidated Growth Holdings Ltd in share certificates. We have applied the shares to your account as you are aware on 2 August 2022.
In order for you to be able to trade these shares we need to first dematerialise these shares into CREST the UK settlement system. I can confirm we have requested this with CREST and we are currently waiting for the shares to settle. Once the shares have settled we shall update your account to reflect a tradable line of shares in Contango Holdings plc.”
So that’s 12 working days since they were added to our shares & funds accounts, 12 days of being unable to trade these shares, just how long and what do these guys need to do, to get this sorted out?
An absolute shambles HL.
