From memory I think the 1+ to 1p fall and subsequent recovery to 40p ish all happened without a rights issue then later the ri came at 10p (can't remember the terms, but think quite harsh) and it fell to about 6p for a while .. Odey asset managements reaction to all of this may be worth watching.
Does anyone know how low this share has been in the past, there was a rights issue a few years go at 10p, did it ever drop to that price?
Wonder who they are going to appoint in this role ref rns. More importantly how long will they last. Think again who ever u are. Grass greener and all that :-))
The uncertainties of Brexit are effecting discretionary spending and especially large ticket items like cars
This company..... Bad management, very high staff turnover, in fact the highest in the sector. A mixture of very poor recruiting and treating the best poorly... It will get worse!
makes progress in 2018, 19 easier @PBT of 60m this looks expensive relative to sector (dyor, all)
Jolly knowing the dragon they will written everything back as far as possible to give themselves a head start for next year. Thus releasing it into 2018. If you're going to put out a profit warning might as well put out a bad one. Back in 2008 they reported a loss of 200m but could have made it less. Hope this make sense.
1H PBT was c48m...so if 60m is now the expected full year PBT then 2H is just 12m...can that be right? It is a staggeringly poor outcome if my maths is ok dyor, all
Opted for VTU last year.Thought management was better but it looks like all in the trade are going to take a damn good thrashing!
Pageyboy its not skill but on Friday after watching vtu fall i sold these at a small hit to buy in at 42.75p just luck i guess. These will come back but TF and MC are like broken arrows as the chairman went today. Amazing
My previous post sadly has come true. Terrible share - continued downside. Probably will wait and see if it goes to 20p. Stalin - do enjoy your retirement. Sadly this share is a big part of my retirement or at least was!
Yes last year October 25th. I worked with TF and MC. T ok but MC a strange fellow ( keeping it clean don't want to get banned ) but who else would take this business on. Anyway they seemed to have cleaned it up from when i left. ( ex vardy ) managed 4 years needed a medal the size of a dustbin lid. Retired now thank god :-))
They put out an interim trading statement usually late Oct 25th or so, might be positive Vertu wasn't that bad Still the same management though which I think works against this stock, have Schroders being selling?
You could be right pageyboy. However if u look historically October is when motor trade stocks are at their lowest. But new car sales worry me somewhat, but again vtu, look and pdg all have good aftersales and used car operations. Hopefully by March next year ( medium term ) will see some gains from my entering point of 29.5p. Finger crossed.
Good Luck Stalin, you are going to need it! Heading lower this morning. Will be buying around mid twenties.
I've had a go with the dragon. But they look like good value. As ever time will tell.
like I said yesterday looking good here very thin in the way of sell orders
Could see substantial upwards movement here tomorrow and next week
Any views on the interims? big hike in debt overall seem ok ish
At least it provided ME with something to read, as I appear to be the last person on this Board with any interest in this share!!

AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL He believes the massive rerating shareholders have seen in SolGold over the past 12 months could be replicated on an even bigger scale as discoveries continue and the company brings SolGold to feasibility stage.
We wouldn’t be surprised if we put together in excess of 60Moz gold equivalent, or 10 million tonnes of contained of copper metal – these are world class tier one deposits that transcend metal price cycles and last inter-generationally.
