Seems I’m on my own in here. Oh well, a nice 20k position built, volumes increasing and slowly grinding higher. Happy days
Daily bull flag pattern complete. One of my favourites. Holding strong here into ATH
Nice rise today. Hoping for another update early next month as to website traffic numbers after advertising started.
Well that's weird you must have been reading a different board. Haven't noticed anyone deramping here- most posters have been flagging up what an exciting opportunity it is
Hi Tweedle, I’m pretty new to this share but my ears pricked up when the Zoopla deal was announced. Lot of trash talkers around for sure, think this looked like an easy short for some who are hurting a little now I’m sure. I’ve gone in quite heavy here and will hold for a couple of years at least.
I was going to buy in last month but was stupid enough to listen to some de-rampers on here and changed my mine, that was stupid and costly for me. After seeing the brilliant advertising campaign that is going to run all through May i have brought in today. With properties so hard to come by both buying and renting them saying in their adverts that OTM gets the new properties on their website 24 hours before Z and RM is a great strategy and they also have an app to send them straight to your phone. I think this company will be a household name in the not too distant future. GLA
This is more like it from sceptical agents .Winning then around slowly " marcH MAY 16, 2018 AT 08:21 #8 Agree 100% with JonnyBanana. With Zoop about to fall into US hands who knows where that might lead in the battle of the property portals? This is our second and last chance to back OTM (warts and all). I was a determined IPO sceptic as I felt the original backers (of which I was one) had been sold out but I am now becoming increasingly concerned about where Z and RM are heading in terms of on-line agency. A portal majority-owned by agents is frankly a better place to be imho."
http://www.propertyindustryeye.com/onthemarket-launches-its-first-outdoor-advertising-campaign/ Jnew86 " Would you know we're riding On the Marrakesh Express Would you know we're riding On the Marrakesh Express All on board that train I've been saving all my money just to take you there I smell the garden in your hair" Looks like plenty of churn ,certainly and plenty more to come . The listings market is too valuable and there is the opportunity to add plenty of bells and whistles and make the proposition attractive Still think the expansive Axel will be eyeing this opportunity and have the added advantage of bringing Purplebricks on board for a game changer .Certainly make Bruce's eyes smile at the thought of estate agents spluttering out the corn flakes on the news. Keep your enemies close as they say!
Sain what do you make of these large trades? Some yesterday were buys but these 2 largest late reported appear to be sells.
Some good info Sain thanks. In all honesty I’m not listening to a few people trying to push it down when so far we’ve seen increasing numbers of adverts etc. I will watch this closely but believe also fundamentally and technically that we will see a rise here. Short term at least to previous highs, the chart indicates.
There is a large phalanx of agents unhappy with Springett, see themsleves sold down the river and seem prepared to cut their noses off to spite their faces . This probably conspires to assist Springett in getting an exit sooner rather than later :Less than 10% in institutional hands so agents gifted shares will get a large say in all this Almost anyone but Springett will do.So plenty of share action still to come here ,hopefully Here is an agent's recent comment MAY 14, 2018 AT 15:05 Why do agents keep: falling for a business that had an IPO agenda whilst recruiting members to join a mutual; broke all their original promises regarding the mutual; failed to meet their target of overtaking ZPG; spent ms litigating against its own members working with the same people who launched a mutual only for the Board to recommend de-mutualising after less than two years providing funds for a business which floated for a fraction of its promised value and which, it is likely, can only increase market capitalisation and produce dividends for external shareholders by steadily increasing Average Revenue Per Advertiser, just like RM and ZPG did believing that the same people behind Agents Mutual, who are now running a publicly listed company, will keep the business under the control of agents if another Silver Lake comes knocking on the door accepting share options from a publicly listed business which relies for growth on the conflicted madness of members feeding the monster which is feeding off them signing five year contracts joining on, so called, free limited time offers which will be full price in no time, and which undercut the original members who were sold a mutual
On the move after that seller cleared
Morning Sain, good entry price here I think. Built up a large position over the last few days.
"*************" is the missing link
https://www.*************.net/ceo-qa-with-ian-springett-at-onthemarket-plc-lonotmp/ It seems that all the moons are coming into alignment
Some of my buys showing as sells
No pausing for breath today. All action http://www.propertyindustryeye.com/eye-newsflash-american-equity-firm-bids-to-buy-zoopla-is-announced/
http://www.propertyindustryeye.com/merger-deal-between-online-agents-emoov-and-tepilo-set-to-go-ahead-within-days/ So further changes in the estate agency world .who are going to be the winners ? Plenty more action before all this beds down including property listers.Fasten your seat belts
https://www.estateagenttoday.co.uk/breaking-news/2018/5/allagents-to-relaunch-portal--and-aims-to-exclude-purplebricks?source=othernews Time to get busy ! Looks like anther hat thrown in the ring for Property Listings. So OTMP now having to look behind them as well as in front
Good news but cranking up a field force to 32 sounds a bit hefty. However certainly addressing some of the issues raised by agents that they have been conspicuous by their absence.Maybe they will feel loved again OTMP certainly have a sporting chance of gaining some traction. This could be a stock market winner!!
What is surprising for a company stemming from an agents mutual as an antidote to RM and ZPLA is the contempt shown by a number of estate agents .This is despite the increasing charges by RM. It seems that many agents can't step by the green eyed monster of seeing Springett benefit to the tune of millions off their backs .Prepared to cut their noses off to spite their faces .The BODS certainly have their work cut out Property Eye reported yesterday of OTMP at an Investor's lunch http://www.propertyindustryeye.com/onthemarket-outlines-plans-over-next-two-years-to-close-traffic-gap/ Some of the responses from the agents ltell Why on earth would we as Gold members continue supporting a business we thought we owned after being shafted so royally by its morally bankrupt officers. Rubber gloves and bargepole spring to mind. 0GJ OTM seriously let down those initial investors and continues to do so. It tells you a lot about their attitude to their customers. Once people are committed to OTM the portal charges will go up and up just like RM. Best stay away otherwise you will soon have three big portal bills each month instead of two. IndAgent Ive just turned down a free 1 year trial, and I hope everybody else does too. smile please OTM could have worked in its original approach if they wanted it to. Sadly now anybody coming in from the right approach will be tarred with the OTM brush. I think the way we are searching for properties is changing, and perhaps portals are now on the way out. If you look at Hystreet, OneDome, Rummage they are coming up with ideas that do empower the agent and not through a traditional portal. I do not know the answer, but i know it certainly is not OTM. Maybe with the new regulations we are having to commit to within our industry some of the no doubt incoming subs we have to pay can be used to pay for a true agent / industry owned portal. That would at least sweeten the bitter pill of regulation. Bless You Yes,,,, i wont go on it until sprigget has gone and its owned 100% by agents again PL The comments about Independent Agents not supporting OTM in the past etc?! Dont get me started! Why would I and others ever trust OTM after their shameful treatment of original members, lamentable performance, failure to communicate and finally but finally The Rambling Sham Roadshow with more fiction than fact! Im well documentated on here and elsewhere re my for & against OTM and Im still paying full rate for this debacle, locked-in whilst OTM give away free membership, balloons & candy floss. OTM V1 was a failure first time around NOT because Estate Agents failed to support it, because it was failing to deliver on so many levels. Can we just agree this, on April 26 2018 lets forget about the huff, puff, bluster announcements from OTM. Lets review their performance on April 26 2019
Looks like it
The hare is on the move?
http://www.propertyindustryeye.com/tipping-point-agent-now-paying-more-to-rightmove-per-month-than-in-office-rent/ Is this now a real opportunity for OTM stepping up to the plate to take these big beasts on
Feelings are running high amongst agents that Sprigett isn't doing enough as this post reveals Maybe the time to strike is not far off? " Flotation Value circa 100 Million, well, well short of their own hype. Currently dropped circa 30 Million in value, just short of 1/3. Actual share price fallen from 1.65 to 1.12. As it heads perilously towards 1 per share? we get another Press Release about traffic, more sales people coming and the big build up to thre OTM Candy Floss Machine being dusted off and wheeled out to really promote the portal. Sod all leads from OTM is the single consistent theme from my Locked-in Leavers perspective. As a Day 1 Gold Member firm I stand here clutching a worthless handful of straw, that has cost my firm a considerable amount of money. Tin Man Springett continues his merry dance along the Yellow Brick Road in the hope of lining his own nest with much more than the straw that Im holding, eventually we just have to keep paying for his worthless dance. CONCLUSION Its an empty Pantomime Horse lying crumpled on the portal dance floor. No amount of whooping & hollering will bring this lifeless prop back to life. Sadly, OTM still keeps taking my Money for Nothing Dire Straits indeed.!"
