They are building a world class business if you do not have time to wait sell up .
dRrade,
NextVR got taken out for chump change. By Apple last month. They went too early with all of their promotion, had a high cost of content creation and basically blew up. Slowly, slowly is the way to win in the VR market.
fine albert thanks.hope you well.yes broadway potential is enormous imo.just need to be patient.
Hi Italian. How ya doing?
I can't wait for the Broadway musicals myself. But I guess the USA needs to get itself sorted out, one way and another.
completely agree albert. big mistake to lose focus. zero chance of them doing that imo .also whilst i agree with the essential point regarding the desirability of improved more user friendly headsets I'm not so sure the we will have to wait that long for the prospect to impact on the s/p here.markets are always forward looking and the speed of technological development is so well recognised now that investors who want to be ahead of the curve will be factoring this into their thoughts very soon. just my opinion..
I don't see Melody ever doing any sport, JSP. For several reasons.
1 'Melody' - Is all about music, not sport. - it's not what it says on the tin.
2 Sport is a crowded market. There are others e.g. Sky BT and the free to air channels already covering it.
3 Melody's tech is audio/visual. AM is a sound technician by profession. There isn't a lot of sound in sport apart from the crowd.
Best to let Melody stay with what they are doing, and start to monetise ASAP. Before the share price slips any further.
Robidicus that is a great list if true I honestly never knew that! Great to see my favourite band the charlatans in there what a fantastic day that will be when all this goes live and anyone who doesn't see that is a stone cold fool!
Couple of things to note: It's odd that they've seemingly sat on these recordings for over 2 years in some cases. Also, theres a significant jump in quality in the newer recordings vs the older ones.
Rob..
Jesus god damn Christ.... Seriously? I had suspicions about Stormzy & Gorrilaz. Wow.
Well i'm very happy just waiting for the subscription now. When someone decides to press the button, that morning is gonna be fun here lol...
A1ex,
This is from something I posted 18 months back......
back in the old days, MelodyVR used to tweet who they were recording, i've had a look back and we know we have the following to come, plus many more, i'm sure: Jason Derulo,Little Mix,Leona Lewis,Kodaline,Mark Ronson, Skepta, Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Stormzy, Chase & Status, Nelly, Annie Mac, Mystery Jets, Bastille, Slaves, RatBoy, Example, Dizzee Rascal, Wu Tang Clan, Wild Beasts, Jake Bugg, Tom Odell, Bloc Party, Pamyurin, Underworld, Rae Morris, Temper Trap, The Charlatans, The Coral, The Cribs, Pete Doherty, Labrinth, Chvrches, Starsailor, Madness, New Order, Katy B, Jamie Lawson, Nero, Libertines, Groove Armada, The Enemy, Jamie T, Turin Brakes, David Gray, Basement Jaxx, Blossoms, White Lies, The Courteeners, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Vaccines, Megadeth, Gorillaz, Miguel, Imagine Dragons, Liam Payne, Bring Me the Horizon, Cage the Elephant, Pixies, Oribital, Cypress Hill, Franz Ferdinand, Sean Paul, Squeeze, Jamiroquai.
There were more...
And we would all be on our backs after the first punch
Morning Everyone. I have downloaded this app and I think the technology is amazing. I have a small investment here and will probably take more. I was showing the app to some work colleagues. They too liked it and could see the benefit of using at perhaps sporting events for a much wider audience. Imagine a Tyson Fury / Antony Joshua fight where you could virtually be in the ring with them. Has the wider use of this technology been mentioned/explored. Just a thought
Mel.
Bit off topic, but when it comes to artists that have been recorded by Melody, are you aware of any that are not listed on the app? I know Jason Darulo, Franz Ferdinand and All Saints did something, was love to have a glance into the substantial catalogue they have. Makes you wonder what other names they have, I really do feel they have some huge names which as yet have not been released, obviously in time all will be revealed...
Hi Lordfont, I don’t believe Will.I.am has previously been in the line up, he does have the Budweiser concert with Live Nation, I do believe he will eventually perform on MelodyVR as he is signed to one of our partners IMO
I will be shocked if WILL.I.AM is not in the line up.
all the artists need eyes on them , Wireless is their only vessel for this so this could bring a few A listers .
It’s all quiet, Live Nation will start releasing the line up for the Wireless Festival, that’s our PR being taken care of, I would expect AM and part of the team to be working on the Ally Pally and New York venues, while SH and others are working with JG.
As stated, 2020 will be the year of MelodyVR!!
Regarding bb comments around keeping the price low, we have to remember a lot of LTH’s have been able to invest more and increase their shareholding substantially, In my view it’s been a great opportunity, its always been a slow burning investment with a timeline of 2020/21 when the company was ready to monetise the product!! GLA
Anything earth shattering happening here yet!!
Without a doubt King.
Stats and metrics will make interesting reading should they release such data but perhaps as and when that becomes available, we’ll be far less concerned and more focused on the resulting SP increase...
Morning A1ex yes appreciate it was hypothetical and I'm guessing the market is waiting to see all these hypothesis and predictions that we all have come to fruition as the only metrics we have to go on at the moment are those download figures on the various stores which dont make great reading so far. That's why we are in the 3ps still I guess. Does seem somewhat perverse when you see these other Covid stocks taking off on far less potential and reality than what we have here but gives us all the chance to top up at these crazy levels I suppose. I fully agree that take off time is just round the corner and Paris's forecasts will start to look a lot more realistic. Bring on that day!
Morning King.
The example was hypothetical I believe but nonetheless a very good post by ParisLSE which I’m sure some would benefit from. All credit to Paris....
I think the simple model very clearly can outline significant revenue that lays within a telco model deal.
The RNS itself points out that Melody means to continue its telco deals on an international level.
This, along with Gore and launch of the subscription service is enough to keep me invested here. This isn’t a ramp, more a reminder to many not to sell ;)
I feel the recent Marketting campaign is aligning with ‘minimum’ metrics needed to support the mobilisation of the subscription model. They’ve gone from 10k to 60k circa in a very short amount of time. Big box ticked I’d say...
US Telco + Subscription + Release of full catalogue (800+ Events / artists).... What else is missing from this? Not sure, but I have a feeling it’s almost there....
Sorry I got those figures wrong... still half asleep (not surprising at 5am!) but even still if it were 178k + we should be showing as way more than 50k + on Play Store. For me there has to be some kind of covering up or lag on those figures as 50k + is a measly amount for the exposure we have had and doesn't make sense to me! Any thoughts?
A1ex / Paris I like the figures they are exciting and plausible... however what doesnt tie in with these figures is that on Google Play (the most popular download store in the UK) we are not even over 100k downloads in total nevermind the 300k downloads per month estimated in your figures. How do you rationalise this?
Sorry. Came across this thread whilst looking through previous threads into the 02 deal with Melody... Credit to ParisLSE who was estimating revenue from the 02 deal. Also note the RNS statement of intent in expanding the telco deal... MVR have been very active in the US...
PARISLSE Post (thanks Paris):
o2's q3 numbers are out....
https://news.o2.co.uk/2019/11/04/the-uks-largest-mobile-network-continues-to-grow/
So it shows they have 26m customers of which 66.9% pay monthly.
I'm trying to guesstimate what the current o2 deal is worth....
66.9% of 26m = 17,394,000
On the rns https://www.investegate.co.uk/evr-holdings-plc--evrh-/rns/melodyvr-launches-exclusive-5g-partnership-with-o2/201910170700051539Q/
It said: "O2 will remunerate MelodyVR for each of their customers that utilise the promotion and will guarantee a minimum number of subscribers during the course of the first 12 months."
Not sure what o2 guaranteed but let's say a conservative 1% of monthly customers.
They will be paying £7 extra for their contract
Let's say £3.50 goes to Melody.
1% of 17,394,000 = 173,940
173,940 x 3.5 = £608,690 per month x12 = £7.3m
If £5 goes to melody = 869,700 x 12 = £10.4m
And this is just from the UK. The rns also said: "we look forward to welcoming more users in the UK to our platform, and to completing further international telco partnerships that will both drive user and revenue growth in the near future. "
Telefonica are in Germany, Spain and Brazil - in Brazil they have 90m customers. This deal is huge and will get a lot bigger as they add more countries.
"and to completing further international telco partnerships that will both drive user and revenue growth in the near future. " Near being the key word, doesn't sound slow to me. Which Telco partnership will come next adding another circa £10m rev?
