Hi Swest,
No I don’t mind at all that you were referring to me. As you say let’s see what happens with the results, must be due anytime now. There have been some really big trades come in late today, which could possibly be sells. Two factors for me on results, how many placees sell out with a decent profit and also if Geodrill sell any. They received a few million in and around 14p. Interesting to know if those were sells today and if so why pre results.
Hi
Yes I was referring to you Mike hope you dont mind. Found your post a bit painful because i agree with it which means i similarly may be lucky to get out with my shirt.
Trouble is, whenever we rise we seem to be hit by an avalanche of selling from who knows where. If it got back to 15 I could start to off load a few, but unfortunately I'm not sure now if we'll get there. To think, when we raised at 35 I was disappointed because I thought 35 was cheap. How times change. Let's hope we're over gloomy and Zaranou sends it flying, my heart says yes, but frankly my head doesn't really believe that anymore. Apologies to the board for downbeat post, hope I'm wrong. GL
Good evening Swest, Leeds, N2sure. Swest I am presuming you was referring to me in your first post today. Whether yo was or not, I am on the same page as you. A long time and a lot of money invested here, and hugely disappointed with the way things have turned out, especially the share price. Started off with great intentions here raising at a premium at 35p then another at 20p, but the last one was a big downer for me. Too many projects and too much money has been spent imo on assets that were flavour of the month only to drop down the league table, after Gabon, May queen, Chad, then Ghana now Zaranou. All the last 3 have been described as company makers. Are we down to Zaranou now as you say Swest. I also take your point about EV’s, could go either way for me. If anyone is going to profit big here it will be the ones who bought recently. For me this could spike up a bit on results, get sold into again then drop again awaiting Zaranou Jorc next year. It’s happened every time. Given the amount I have put in here I will be happy to walk away if I can break even. Not what I envisaged a couple of years ago.
Good reply thankyou. I suppose we are describing the very essence of AIM. the trick is to come out of it on the right side profit wise. When to get in, when to get out. Personally I get too 'attached', but I'm working on that. Bottom line is to make money. Covid presents a Joker in the pack here as well. Take Ghana and EV sales - we're facing a huge recession whose going to splash 35K on an EV soon ? Its not black and white. Gold looks a good bet though. Quiet on here at the mo. ATB
I agree with you swest but I believe exactly the same happened at Solg..they were caught between a rock and hard place..the Board knew they were onto something big but really did not have the funds to finance but somehow through raising monies in tough market conditions they kept a steady ship until they did a deal to bring someone on board with deeper pockets..hopefully further good grades at Zaranou will enhance their chances of doing such a deal
I like VM, I like the BOD, but imo in their hearts they also know everything, everyone has a shelf life
VM endlessly upbeat words but words won't keep paying the 350K or whatever hes on a year.
We're running out of 'manyanas' (spelt?!). My real fear is that if it does't rerate this time, we'll simply burn the 4.75M in a hail of drilling in Chad and everywhere and someone will grab us for absolute peanuts when we're out of cash. PIs obliterated through dilution. I'm afraid Munchbox nailed that down correctly albeit bluntly. We have to score this time while we're well cashed, its a cruel and brutal world, but vulchers will wait happily watching cash burn but still study every RNS, Ready to scoop up at discounted placing time, which next time could be what, 4p? Lets hope none of that happens. GL
Agreed same here 4 years invested, lots of upbeat from vm over time, hopefully our times coming.
Without sounding over dramatic, I'm coming to a personal position.
It's likely now or never for me ref next RNS.
If nothing much happens, with pog up here and with cash banked, I will finally have to think hard about the future of what is for me my easily largest position. Akin to taking a shot with crosshares, we have a great shot, but the right moment is fleeting.
FWIW theres another long termer on here who oft mirrors my thoughts, I think he will read read this and have similar thoughts after 4 years. Long enough for me now, potential must finally deliver the promised value. Sincerely hope results smash it this time, then every chance of being the next Greatland Gold.
