Picking up from LinkedIn and indeed other sources that EVE go to considerable lengths to make the working environment and employee perks 2nd to none! With great salaries too. I’m all in favour of such conditions provided the business is viable by making profits year on year instead on the present situation!!
I might take the Argos option but I am not certain Argos give the 365 night trail (or the previous 100 night trial) ; could be something that eve give directly via their site. I'd need to check.
My hope is that the poor reviews will reduce once Covid is truly on the back-foot in spring; sooner the better for reviews. The bricks and mortar shops are probably getting some of their footfall back now which is less good for eve.
Lots more very poor TP reviews showing - a large portion expand their initial complaint to highlight how poor customer service is without a phone number to be able to phone EVE. I do have to admit not having a phone number would put me off buying directly from EVE and I would probably go to Argos for my EVE products. Would be good if all the EVE products were available through their associated outlets such as Argos etc!!
I see that there was another new person, started work a week ago, in the UK.

Two customers have used the opportunity to complain in the comments section. Interestingly the two complainants do have good jobs so whilst its a great shame that they are unhappy they are 'premium' type people.
I resisted the temptation to make a comment myself on the lines of 'I know from their site that eve have been struggling with staff sickness. I'm sure they will get back to you soon'.
I see there were 11 trades yesterday, but I can only see 10 and only 10 on the London Stock Exchange page for eve. Shows that we don't see everything though we more or less knew that from the way the price moves and the trades that are listed; not always showing the same activity.
Don'tgive, I'm pretty sure (almost certain) that these are people working on the website only, and associated tech areas.
You never know, selling in India one day!
The eve sleep.fr would have to take people to french speakers as queries do at the moment. They do have French speaking customer service folk.
The only info than one can gleam is ‘ expanding our yellow reach into international waters’ .
So it’s not clear what the expansion into India actually means at this stage?
There could be trouble with the English and French speaking/typing language if there is to be direct contact with UK/French customers of EVE??
Maybe they are going to try selling products in India? As I say it’s not at all clear at this stage - I don’t recall any mention on India in the TU or Investor Presentation????
I was slightly puzzled that the new members of the team are not shown with the existing members in one shot. India has a lot of highly skilled IT people so not surprising that eve is using the talent there, and getting good value for money too. Someone was holding the camera but it does look like an unusually small gathering to me.. Other people on the team working from home or just shy perhaps? Anyway, it probably helped the new people feel at home with eve and introduces them to the UK eve people, and us investors.
I guess that since the live 'chat' is only open from 10am to 2pm (and has been available the last couple of times I looked, though I didn't press 'chat' of course) and with the time difference, live chat is currently UK based. Since everything is on the computer now it should be possible to offer a perfectly good helpline from India at a better price. With 'chat' they could run that from India with hardly anyone noticing. People do like to talk to UK staff and good if the UK service is affordable but anything to turn a profit sooner rather than later is probably a good idea.

Expanding our yellow reach to international waters...??
Last week, we welcomed the newest members of the eve Sleep team in Bangalore, India!??
Really excited to have Pradeep and Virender join our Tech team as our newest Developers.
If you want to be part of our sleep wellness journey,
.... though surely outsourcing to India would be big news too - though it wasn’t it the TU. I think EVE don’t really highlight their plans well enough - definitely as an investor it’s hard to know exactly what’s going on!!!!!
Thanks CI. Looking at the images of the office I had thoughts of maybe it’s the outsourcing of jobs! Why can’t the jobs stay in UK —- not just thinking of EVE here but other companies too!
If everyone else is outsourcing for cheaper labour reasons then those who don’t follow will be at a disadvantage!
Still if they are going to be there they may as well try to sell a few mattresses????
DGP123- i think they are outsourcing part of their IT services to Bangalore cos it is cheaper rather than expanding to India. If they were expanding to India, they would have likely to mention in previous TU considering it is a massive strategic decision.
As always D-G your detective work has uncovered great finds. Does this suggest EVE Sleep are looking or indeed opening a branch in India ( or it this just remote working)? I would imagine British manufactured products may be viewed as desirable in India.
I’m still cautions and worried about EVE current trajectory ( I suppose it’s because they have not really made their plans very public) but I will only be to happy to have my worries proved wrong.
Still if expanding into India or indeed any other international market and it can be done now with minimum outlay and become profitable in these potentially new markets it could be a big boost for EVE plc. Thanks again for posting your findings D-G.

'With that in mind, intent on finding out if sleep before midnight actually is somehow more magical in comparison to all the hours of snoozing that come post 12am, we had a chat with Dave Gibson, an expert at eve Sleep (you know, the ones who make the famous hybrid mattresses) and founder of The Sleep Site.'
