Spot on CJ
Nobody apart from us would know who CIH was, so sellers have to rely on someone actually contacting Pajak and saying they want to buy shares in the company. What do you reckon the chances of that are? Lets revisit what he said via RNS last May 1st:
"The holders of shares in Craven Industrial Holdings will not be significantly hindered in this regard and will receive regular communication outlining opportunities to sell their shares or increase their holding".
I held my shares because of that statement, couldn't get it taken private quick enough could he? Getting a little bit too hot on AIM.
Anyone had any regular communication from them? Me neither...
I have accused him of being a liar and accused him of treating the shareholders appallingly. He disagreed of course...But I challenged him on 2 facts I know which were incorrect. No reply...
The man is a Charlatan. If he disagrees, pay me or take me to court.
Sorry CJ, DLC is currently 0.055c bid, another Pajak triumph. We have been robbed guys, just accept it like I have.
They are not about Craven Capital.
Summary:
1. Dreadful results! Collapse in asset value down to around $5.1m, according to the micro-balance sheet, or $6.7m according to the text!! (Just one of several errors in the text.)
2. They need someone from outside who understands finance to go through and check for such errors. For example, they also claim in the report that the Angolan currency crashed 75% in the year 2019-2020. This is wrong. That decline did occur, but over a much longer time span going back five years.
I say it again, we need a non-exec to keep an oversight.
3. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong.
- Angola business collapsed due to COVID issues. Qeton not likely tor revive.
- S Africa loans written down, as debtor defaulted.
- American travel insurance business turnover collapsed
- DLC mark-to-market at single figure cents per share
-listed US energy investments trashed
and that's just the good news.... (Sorry, couldn't resist.)
4. HOWEVER, the balance sheet date - May 2020 - is close to the nadir of the market last year.
So we can expect improvements since then:
- DLC share price has bounced back to around 17c per share. As MP points out, Brazilian land has held its value.
Not sure what's happening to the macadamia production at DLC.
- The aforesaid listed investments will have recovered somewhat.
- Once international travel gets going, IIU may recover.
My guess estimate is the current balance sheet NTAV is around $14m.
S Africa surely offers scope for entry into the capital structure of the debtor? (Angola too? Though perhaps throwing good money after bad!)
I hope this is of some help.
I'll forward the results to anyone who sends me a private message at ADVFN with their email: my moniker there is CJohn. Please alert me on this board that you've done so, otherwise I may not look.
Best wishes to all holders!
This exists, but I understand there is little buying interest, so there is no one to match with!!
1. Those CIH holders who hold their shares through nominee accounts will not be sent the results or other updates as they will not be shareholders of record, so CIH won't know their names.
You need to contact CIH and ask to be added to the mailing list for the results.
2. As CIH have no website, there will be no way for outsiders without an existing connection with the company to learn about CIH.
A simple website where the results were published is the minimum required.
As it stands currently, it means there will be no new potential shareholders likely to come across the website and read the updates.
This is very unsatisfactory and the board who run CIH should be clued in enough to realise that many (existing and potential) shareholders will be excluded, given the current arrangements.
Out of interest to members might be this reply received from our Chairman when I last contacted CRV asking for contact details for CRH. It is of little help, the only possibility it alludes to is that some up-to-date accounts for CRH are well overdue! There is also an email address provided for CRH.
Cheers
Sir
All company information regarding Craven Industrial Holdings will be distributed to shareholders of record in accordance with the articles of association. The annual results for CIH for the year to May 2020 nor any other shareholder communication have been published.
The letter sent out to holders of shares in Craven Industrial Holdings at the time of mailing out share certificates made the process in place for the sale/purchase of shares clear. I will repeat this for you here;
"In the event that you wish to sell any shares in CIH or acquire further shares please email info@cihplc.com stating the number of shares you wish to buy or sell and the price at which you are willing to transact. Buyers and sellers will be matched on a monthly basis with sellers who have been waiting for the longest and willing to accept a buyer’s offer being matched first. In cases where there are several sellers stating the same minimum price, sellers will be prioritised according to how long their shares have been listed."
Craven Industrial Holdings is no longer associated with Craven House Capital. Enquiries relating to CIH should be directed to info@cihplc.com. Emails regarding CIH sent to this email address will not be responded to in the future.
Hi, if a private group is set up l would be very interested to join. I am a long term holder of both Craven House entities. Thanks
I'm happy to read anything !! I guess by default I have an interest in both anyway, so thanks
Yes, i can see that it can be interpreted in two ways!
In any case, perhaps Twitter isn't the best platform: very short messages?
I'm going to post on here. I appreciate that there are some post-split buyers of Craven Capital on here. Please accept my apologies in advance for posting on a subject that doesn't interest you. I'll always make it clear it's about CIH:
Sorry for the confusion, I meant it as a suggestion, I wasn't announcing that I'd set a group up, sorry, if you create a group, let us know.
Hello Leejohn,
Many thanks for setting that up.
I've just set up a twitter account.
My user name is the same as on this board.
Would you add me to the group, please?
Just setup a private group on twitter, that'll be fine and you add whom you like to it.
It is F1 weekend from Algarve / Portugal
We can watch the F1 race for free now Sunday on TV ZINOS, MBC Action
https://www.tvzinos.com/player.php?d=24
Hello Grawostac,
Thanks for your post.
I wasn't really thinking along the lines of security concerns, but your suggestion is an interesting one.
I've never used Signal, so I'll download it shortly and get back to you.
I do think we need a usable forum and your idea of a private group makes good sense.
All best
CJohn
Hi CJohn,
There are one or two apps such as Signal which are encrypted and much more secure and private than the likes of WhatsApp etc.
We could set up a private group there.
I don't know if that helps or indeed is what you meant by your posting
Kind regards,
Grawostac
Hello any holders of Craven Industrial Holdings,
Is there any forum, other than this page, where we might discuss CIH?
Hi John
It is F1 weekend from Italy and the race is tomorrow Sunday CET 15.00 and with qualifications races today
The cost to watch F1 in Sweden is € 10, by watching F1 on MBC Action on TV ZINOS it is Free :)
https://www.tvzinos.com/player.php?d=24
Thanks, iosbyios, I appreciate your reply.
I admit I almost never watch TV, so am maybe under-estimating potential demand here!
Hi John
Just talked with the TV ZINOS team :)
I also checked if there are other TV services like TV ZINOS and I could not find any, but honestly, this is Not rocket science, but very convenient, +15.000 TV channels for Free sounds great!
They could not say anything regarding ownership etc, but was more open regarding the TV service
It will be +15.000 TV channels; they use VPN so you as a user can see TV channels around the world for Free
It is not a piracy service, so Netflix, HBO, Amazon, Disney etc will not be Free, but if you make a registration you will from those services get 3 months Free and after 90 days you will most probably get lost of advertising to sign up for those TV services
They believe the big thing with TV ZINOS will be that you as a user can see Sport for Free
Next will be the F1 Race in Italy now Sunday, April 18 that you will be able to see live for Free
Regarding Korea and Japan TV channels, yes they will be for Free on TV ZINOS
They say it is Beta now, but will go Semi Live during next month and will work 100% with +15.000 TV channels for Free in September this year
Hi iosbyios,
Would you be able to give us an idea of the prospects of and competition to TV ZINOS?
For an expatriate like myself, who also follows events in Japan and Korea - for investment and personal reasons - this channel will be of some use.
But I can't help feeling I'm an exception and that most people are very well catered for by their "local" TV providers, who usually include many general interest overseas TV channels in their package.
All the best. have a good Sunday.
Can see that Rosedog Ltd has launched a Beta version of a TV service TVZINOS
www.tvzinos.com
The name indicates that this is a spinoff from Magazinos and already do have 3.391 TV channels Live
It is a Beta version, and a Free service where you can watch TV channels worldwide
Most probably the revenues comes from advertising
The shares could be with the market maker.
Can see that it is Gyllenhammar that sells, the question is, who is the buyer?
https://www.londonstockexchange.com/news-article/CRV/tr-1-notification-of-major-holdings/14902186
Who is the buyer for 100.000 CRV shares yesterday?
Would be nice to break a penny and beyond .
Best of
