Commodities_investor, Re: my posting yesterday of Market Report. Not my words and not my opinion. I hold shares and you must of read my earlier posting. Just letting you know what might influence other Investors. I have my own views. Have a good week.
"I spoke to a Citel Director in the US on Friday " JD / MB / LMcI ? or a.n.other?
I am not saying you are wrong i am just saying i will sit this one out and see if you are correct or not. If you are maybe i might be asking for a further tip or two :-) There is too much sniping on these sites as peoples money is involved so i wish you all the best in your share dealing. Regards IHNC
I KNOW my stuff. But its just free advice, although in MHO good.
Maybe my buy not going through on friday was not such a bad thing. This company's SP has done nothing but drop showing no support at any level. Could it be that it is now close to death ? And tipping NRK ? Urghh
Do not know why you could not buy on Friday, it is listed on LSE therefore you do not have to sign the international trade forms etc... I bought a lot on Friday on advice I was given before I knew much about the company, I have since found out and set a fill or kill order on this stock. To be truthful, I have set several of which this is one. Looking at the product, I could well use it myself which is why I am jumping on this band wagon. I need to do a bit more research but if this works for me the way I think it will, then there will be a sizable order going through. (This is not inside info before someone starts jumping around) The last tip for the day, for those interested is NNG - Even more underrated than this stock, although its a high risk one.( But well worth it at the price and possible returns)
Is this a US stock where you have to sign a US tax waiver before buying ? When i tried to buy on friday i was told the stock is not available to buy.
Dog of the day ? No contest.Citel (CITE) warned that it would miss forecasts for the year to March 31st and that it has less than two months cashburn in the bank and so will need to pass the hat around if it is to survive until it reaches profitability.P45s have been handed out to staff already but with a dilutive rights issue now inevitable it is now the turn of shareholders to take the hit. The shares dived 7.125p to 3.125p. Ouch.
http://www.citel.com/News_Events/In_News.asp 2007 News flows until Sept then stops suddenly http://www.citel.com/News_Events/Press_Releases/06_01_06.asp Portico been around since July 2006 (possibly earlier), but still not selling enough to support this small company http://www.citel.com/News_Events/Events.asp No events scheduled for 2008 http://www.citel.com/News_Events/Press_Releases/10_01_07.asp CEO booted out in Oct 2007 (if Portico had been selling, or shown promising growth would this had happened) Now, if a group of you want to buy in at 3.5p and try and beat the MM's that's fine, I'm just trying to warn the stragglers to stay well clear, as it's better to invest on the first sprouts of real growth. IMHO BTW - Having watched the amount of sells over the last 6 months, then I reckon the MM's are well prepared
When an RNS goes on AIM, then the compamies web site should also get updated. http://www.citel.com/Company/Investor_Relations.asp Don't see the update? Is there anyone left to do the update? They have just halved the workforce to try and survive, because nobody will give them cash. Two possibilities exist in the short term, liquidation or funding which will greatly dilute current share holders. Buying shares like this is all about seeing the risks, and the possible upside. I believe there will be one more correction (30-70% fall) which will be the additional funding, before we see this one going up! Buyers beware, but as always. DYOR
That 1.147m sell at 1p is a major worry for any buyer.Accounts for over half the days trades and I personally think this one has a bit further to fo before it bottoms.I was considering a buy on Friday only as a gamble, but the late reported sell from the morning put me right off.
Trading.Pirate You are right about the risk if getting in too early and timing is certainly crucial but you will agree that the science of timing isn't that well understood. BTW I haven't bought in yet. I am planning to drop in 28k at various times on Monday.
Going by what you are saying, it does therefore not mean, does it, that you disagree with the view that this is BUY CASE but rather that the timing isn't quite right on the basis that this might fall a further 5% on Monday. My model though analysing hundreds of stocks show that +-10% is normal on any trading day for any stock.
Forgive my typos, using my iPhone Not too bad actually. Means I can follow what is happening while on the move.
My investment opinion remains a case of VERY STRONG BUY. Trading is about picking up cheap stock and making a profit n them when price moves & it is rare that you get stocks trading at 60% below their market value without real underlying issues with the business model. Lookingat this business I see nothing that would threaten the long term viability of this stock. Market slow downs only happen every so often and if you can't or are unable to pick up cheap stock this time around, you will have to wait for a while before another market correction. My view is that we have been through the worst patch as most of the fall put fronthe sub prime has now been factored in by most Banks. Talk of interest rate cuts, Tax incentives + some closure on NRK should help restore some confidence into the system. THIS THE TIME TO PICK UP CHEAP STOCK!
Mining_trader, I agree and it was a shock on Friday, as you do, I remain optimistic and I'm hanging in and will be watching next week. Good luck.
I agree this is indeed a good Company, and I have a small interest. I do however, feel concerns regarding the drop in Citel's cash in hand. Their dept was reduced as stated in the Interims to September 2007. Yes, they increased earnings of circa 15% in Turnover for the same period but have yet to Break Even. Assuming things go forward to plan and product sales increase in what is becoming a less attractive Trading Year for Industry it should not be a problem. Of late despite Market Panic, Investors are reducing there Holdings for Cash. I'm begining to think that Investors are cleverer than we possibly credit. I wish this Company good trading and hope that this is not just over reation as mentioned above. This would also apply to many Stocks at present
Yet again we saw the typical market overreaction. If you remember a little over a couple of weeks ago we saw similar sell offs on CPH. If you bought into CPH then, you will be laughing now. This is now a A VERY STRONG BUY case. We should see this one recover much of Friday's loses by the end of the week with a good rally onwards.
You are not wrong, this is a nice product. I am heavily involved with providing a promina nodal network and the phones that we are using on the end are not ideal. I need to look into this a bit more, but I bought my shares in this company before I knew what the product was - on advice from brokers. I am posting this now so that I am not accused of anything later should I take some of the product for myself. As there are a few hundred promina nodes that I deal with I am always conscious of the bandwidth. Especially as some of the nodes are 800's rather than 400's. The phones I use already only use a small portion of the bandwidth but each meg counts when you are paying for sat bandwidth. Anyway, just to agree, there has been streamlining and this should prove a very good buy at this price.
I see what you by nice products Problem All that was left of the design dept in Nottingham(?) & Calgary have been laid off. So product has no possible future. Enjoy the ride!! Down
that was very nice of him to give up his valuable time to a small time investor at what will be a very busy time for him trying to turn things around and get his company back on track! can i have his number i wouldnt mind asking him if my 500quid is gonna be safe!?
All do your own homework and make your own decisions :)
