Its about time ACL's sp moved up towards the 230 level .Its been stuck in the low 220' s for a while now. Lets hope we get some momentum now!
IN THE KNOW: Numis Welcomes Good Cash Performance From Acal Acal delivered a robust set of results and should trade at a narrower discount to peers, Numis said. On Tuesday, Acal which makes and..
i was expecting more increase with such good trades.. there must be a big seller out there. as soon as he will be out.. share price should start to increase what is level 2 status?
EDIT Correction. NOT 10%+ Meant to say 15%+ as in.... .... "Whatever - I expect to see a small 15%+ gain upside max, from here on...."
# On the other hand, for buyers at this level, the yield of the dividend is now just over 3.8% # Over THIRTEEN times the average long term volume today! - Repeat 13 times ! ! ! Have you ever?!? So nothing fickle about today's 3% rise. # SP just coming out of being technically oversold and 'trying' to revitalise. # I'd say it's now at the bottom end of the declining longer term channel and in coming days/weeks should see it gravitate to the upper end of the declining channel - circa roughly 240/ maybe 250p before meandering again. # Current malaise is one of the inherent risks to be accepted in buying a small MCap share that depends on buying growth from acquisitions rather than from predominately organic growth. Whatever - I expect to see a small 10%+ gain upside max, from here on. - After that, not so inspiring - unless some macro event unforseen at this point occurs by then..
And yet the sp is trading at a mere 5% up on its yearly low or even worse its lost 35% in less than 2 months. You make sense of that .Imagine where the sp would be if the results were negative!
The Board is recommending an increase in the interim dividend of 5% to 2.45p per share (H1 2015/16: 2.33p per share). Since 2010, the full year dividend per share has risen by 58%
Well I'd consider those a good set of results. Pontil
Sadly luck has nothing to do with this. If the trading results are better than already expected and enough to cover the one off £8m hit the co already said they will take ,then the sp will go up. Otherwise we brace ourselves!
Afrc, I contemplated the whole day whether to open a position here. I bet tomorrow will see a sharp change in the share price; question is whether up or down. The main confusing point for me was whether that one off charge is captured in the price already. I personally deemed it too risky to go in. However, I hope it goes up for the current holders. Good luck for tomorrow.
Not impressed at all with the recent performance of ACL's sp . And if the results out tomorrow are not good then i can see the price going down to the 160 165 level
Why suddenly and at the very end of today's session the big fall? Results are due in next tuesday ,should be good.
going on at Brammer ( BRAM ) serious value release on offer since takeover recommendation this morning. Others thoughts on ACAL as target? Pontil
Keeping an eye on this one too as done ok out of it in the past, it was only an ok trading update however and it looks feasible that 1 or 2 ii's may be selling, as ever the holdings rns detail makes it impossible to ever be sure, this sentence from the recent trading update caught my eye though and wondered if there was more to this than meets the eye: "In total, these actions, which are being implemented during the current financial year, are expected to achieve cost savings of £4m per annum and deliver sustained profitability improvements next year and beyond. A one off associated exceptional cost of around £8m is expected to be incurred this year relating primarily to people and property costs"
Why the 20% fall in less than a month. It should be the other way around .Good recent results,a weaker pound that will help the co and yet the sp has been steadilly falling! Why??????
Why the recent fall? Any opinions out there!
http://tinyurl.com/hl2yumx Guy Hewitt, research director at independent broker finnCap, says customised electronics maker Acal plc (LON:ACL) has a portfolio of expertise and products which you can’t buy elsewhere. “If a customer is looking for a particular set of skills of products then the strategy is that Acal will be at the top of the list, if not a list of one.” Hewett says the company’s relationship with its customer from design to distribution is value add, as is Acal’s rising margins which sets it apart from the competition. The specialist electronics group said its earnings for the year will “slightly” ahead of expectations which is impressive particularly as Hewett notes the company is operating against a difficult industrial production market.
When I concluded writing my first blog with regards to ACAL on 28th August 2015 the share price was £2.95p and the Market Cap was £186M. Well a lot has happened since then and this is an update on the progress that ACAL has made since August. Rest of the article is on LSE share talk dot com new page - enjoy
Published on Nov 6, 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfrCjm-WJK4 Acal Plc (LON:ACL) chief executive Nick Jefferies says the business has found a winning formula when it comes to acquisitions and there are plenty more buying opportunities in the pipeline. The electronics supplier told investors on Friday that it is acquiring Denmark’s Flux AS for £3.7mln as part of its strategy to create a higher margin business. It means Flux – which makes magnetic products - will become an immediately earnings enhancing add on for Acal and gain access to a base of over 20,000 customers.

Factory demand levels are crucial for the business, which makes temperature sensors found in coffee machines, cables for Stannah stair lifts and test parts for cars. To monitor demand, Jefferies explains that the firm tracks money supply – a good indicator of industrial output. Sales in the six months to November rose by 18% and demand signs looks good in Europe; although the CEO is wary of a weaker US market and a potential China slowdown.

Not liking the phrase "information clarification"....... "The Company is currently in the process of finalising the 2012 Annual Financial Report with its auditor, Affinity Associates. The final report is currently undergoing information clarification and the Company expects to lodge its Annual Financial Report with Companies House and the market on or before 31st July 2013."
