In 2018 I went to work for a company and was shocked not permitted tea break for 6 hours, at the time I had to google it to see if it was correct.........
The trucks had trackers and one day the the office phoned me and asked what I was doing, told them that when my truck stops for over 5 mins I will be drinking tea. The office never rang me again when I was stationary

French labor law dictates that the standard workweek in France is 35 hours per week1. However, this can vary based on the industry and is subject to any collective bargaining agreements. Anything beyond this is considered overtime and should be compensated as such. It’s important to note that while the 35-hour workweek is a legal standard, the actual hours worked by individuals can vary based on their specific roles and practices within their workplaces.
Since year 2000 and Aubry Law, the legal working time in France is :
7 hours per day
35 hours per week (7 x 5 days)
151.67 hours per month
1,607 hours per year

France, life expectancy for women is 85.75 and for men is 80.03 according to 2023 data from national statistics institute, INSEE.
This is higher than in the UK, where life expectancy was 82.6 for women and 78.6 for men for the period 2020-2022, according to the Office of National Statistics.
France has also seen a “spectacular rise” in centenarians, according to the latest demographic figures.
Kenny if the state pension age goes above 67 I will stop work at 67 anyway I will probably be dead anyway. With a state pension age that high no one would support any government in most eu countries
