For someone to buy, there must be someone selling. So a huge amount of selling...perhaps AA can see that it will be a no and are pushing their holdings onto the market. Carnage on Monday eh?
According to advn it indicates around 50million shares where bought after 430pm
There has been a huge amount of shares bought after closing.
Well said. And a simple JV ( AA have several) would still be an appropriate move by AA.
Considering their PR ethics rhetoric they have formally declared, it’s very poor that their CEO is now unable to move in this direction.
It would completely solve the issue.
Lives that#s a lot of words to say "lying bar stewards "

Good post ambience , so much truth , still feel like theres been so much deception , the removal of promotional interviews , which we all watched , listened , and then bought more shares , FRASER ,WHAT THE FECK REMOVING , YOU DISGRACEFULL INDIVIDUAL , there go lse chew on that

Dividend for me too.
I just caught something on radio 4 news about QIA. Nothing to do with Sirius. I was only half listening but it was something about them doing something or allegedly doing something to hide a level of return they shouldn't have had.
The one thing I've learnt from this foray (if you can call a decade that) in Sirius is that however the big money is held and no matter who by in whatever form nothing can be fully trusted or wholly understood by a minow such as myself.
Sirius and Anglo American have missed a huge opportunity by becoming an enemy of the shareholders instead of harnessing the fantastic support they would have had from us in order to sort this mess out. I don't think many companies would have treated the shareholders so badly and have the amount of support, goodwill and continued belief and stubbornness that many have shown and continue to show up until the end.
They have seriously misjudged us and whatever happens next week we are not going anywhere soon. Let's hope we get some journalists coming behind us, showing this for what it is and exposing how poorly we have been treated.
We were not greedy we were sold a dream over many, many years through numerous videos (which have rapidly been deleted for some reason - why?) and presentations (which we still have) until when it came to the potential rewards coming in to view we were stabbed in the back. It's not too late give us a fair offer - do the right thing - you won't get many shareholders more loyal than us.
AAL can stick an increased offer where the sun don't shine. I'd welcome them as a partner, but a takeover - no thanks.

The same here. It will be NO from me regardless. We all deserve to own a piece of it.

Lives if they up the offer then it's a given that they already know it's a no vote ! that said one would imaging aal and sxx will insist on it ...
Personally I hope they don't because I think it would then pass ? and I for one only want funding and dividend ! ( that's what I signed up for )

£42 million from us plus £4.76 because I've just found some loose change in my overall pockets before throwing them into the washing machine after a week at work.
Yes - surely it's too late to change anything no. Vote is set for the 3rd. Votes had to be in today. Surely it cannot be materially changed between now and then.
It's either Yes or No.
Only one outcome for Yes but several for No.
AAL can stick an increased offer where the sun don't shine. I'd welcome them as a partner, but a takeover - no thanks. Either way, Fraser needs to get on his bike. An apology and a letter of resignation from him - and schoolboy Staley - on Tuesday would be a start
FFC
I've got every confidence that QIA are ready to step in.
I'm not sure exactly of the process but although votes have already been cast by some if AA withdraw their offer before Tuesday and put in a higher bid then surely we have to vote again.
I think AA will increase their offer, but if most shareholders have already voted "no", surely it's too late to do that before Tuesday?
I suspect they'll increase it a few days later. But who knows?
Dead right Lives and you would imagine Qatar have that 100 million Bridge on standby as we speak !
And 42 million promised already from fundsirius , with regards to the fundsirius initiative how much would that have reached with professional backing , Sirius backing and a much higher payoff (15% in August?)
Capslock
I certainly do think there shall be a funding package if there's a no vote. I think there's a damn good chance of AA increasing their offer before Tuesday too.
This is a tier one asset with II having bought at three and four times current share price. When they bought they did so because of a return on their investment which is as promising now as it was at the time of previous open offers. I don't care how little II are exposed to Sirius as a percentage of their overall portfolios or how small their losses would be for them if Sirius go bust. They bought for a future return which is still there and I don't believe they shall let that slip through their fingers for want of a bit of further investing.
Just my view and why I'm holding.
LTHs really in the odd position now... as mentioned this morning more sharp decline to come due to fear, emotion, deadline and manipulation... unfortunately more decline to come as we approach to Tue... feel sry for LTHs... honestly gl! (tbc, I don't have neither long/short position) honest view...
Thanks. So do you think if it is a No vote, there could be a potential funding package to avoid going bust?
Capslock
No vote persuades QIA or another or combination there of to announce funding package to prevent administration.
Eh? I just sold everything at 4.68 and you're buying for Tuesday? What if it's a No vote?
Let's see what Tuesday brings
