I don't know if your comment refers to me or if you think I'm a short-term investor but just in case let me put the record straight. I've been here since 2012 and over the last eight or nine years I've watched a £100k investment dwindle to about £15k, written it off in my mind and then enjoyed watching it return to break-even over the last couple of weeks and am delighted to see that the sp hasn't fallen back as far as I expected after last night's presentation. So having seen much excitement develop prior to AGMs which haven't delivered over a large number of years I do feel I was entitled to make a few very light-hearted "here we go again" jokes. It turns out I wasn't wrong either.
I am sure that over the course of time Scancell will deliver me some kind of profit at some point but having waited for many years for them to do so I also feel entitled to be quite disappointed at the timescale for Covidity which appears not to be going anywhere quickly. With Scancell it has always been a case of this year, next year, sometime, never and I for one am starting to get somewhat frustrated by it. If the fact that showing a little impatience after nearly a decade of waiting for something to happen seems unreasonable just because the sp finally got back to break even for me and then fell back because of last night's nothing presentation then you are, of course, entitled to your view but put yourself in my shoes for a moment.
dg it sounded to me like pharma are on the scene Cliff said the pharmas 'who we all know'... that did not get in on first-gen vaxs are looking to get in on 2nd gen ones... plus he seemed to say it in a good way.... there was no downplaying
but hey I'm not the one betting against the red dots:)
Just hope like knowly that no newbies get burnt here.... surely learning the breadth and depth of pipeline plus that news on so many fronts is coming must be reassuring ...no?
Strange before the presentation the majority expected nothing new and after the presentation disappointed because of nothing new. Well I found the covidty trial too start as soon as possible statement intriguing. Surely if Scancell intended to go it alone they could of been a bit more precise on timings. Sky were given the impression 'within weeks' so maybe a few negotiations going on in the background. GLA
Know lessi, no surprise you’re out all guns blazing tonight, it seems you are either just itching for a cheaper price or just want to see the company fail.
Either way, it’s a very sad way to spend the last few years.
Lindy probably didn't make it clear to all the candidate vaccines that all but 1 or them would be dumped.
So callous!
Intersting to see on one of Cliff's slides that SN15/SCOV1 was referred to as the selected version for the clinical trial. Looks like SN14 has been left at the altar - gutted for it.
drac it was more a cold shiver lol
I agree was just pointing out Covidity is in manufacture it means you can expect progress into trial news there in the coming weeks... hope he stays around for it or comes back or something :) he may also like to view the AGM video it is on youtube... scancell is not a covidity 'just or only' play... I think Cliff sort of made that clear in this presentation just so happens Lindys vaccine making T cell knowledge could make a difference there as well.
Sorry Crumbs I didn't mean you to feel Drained LOL.
new posters get old here very fast..... jeez now even the undead has reappeared :)
Cont....of course the current sell off today on Wall Street may reflect on all our uk markets tomorrow so please don’t single sclp out and tell us “I told you so” as this would be quite immature and childish...
GL and holding very strong here.
Just a reminder sclp share price has risen 90% in less than two weeks and perhaps this is not good enough for some very short term investors....
Well guys you better sell tomorrow if you think so as sclp is going to disappoint you though for me and many others sclp is the one to invest and Redmile is my big backer with their huge commitment financial and commercial commitment as per CH today...
