Did you get a pat on the head ?
@Wolves Let me take you back to post you made either last week or the week before that. In which you were claiming that you were performing 50 hours work per week. So you see and i know this is something which will be impossible for you to achieve, please be consistent in your arguments. You cannot claim to have done all of the work as a part times and worked 50 hours a week which two more than a full timer. Dunderhead
@Oli
You are correct that was the Dutch model i recall.
Wolves, I seem to remember from the dim and distant past (well about 2010) when RM were introducing sequencing machines that there was a heavy suggestion that the days of the postie were numbered and that the sequenced mail would be delivered to housewives or mothers who had dropped their kids to school and wanted some part time work. These housewives would have rounds of about four hours duration and for weekdays only. Of course it never came to fruition because the CWU had the idea squashed on several grounds but mainly on the issue of security.
As we move forward into parcel delivery, I forsee the role of the postie not only being full time but also more than RM currently employ with perhaps an increase from 90,000 to 100,000 to deal with demand especially if RM get to grips with parcels automation.
mad just got on so excuse me for the delay in replying..... you reckon a posty is a full time position then... well facts are... no post Saturday all 48hrs and 2nd class packets/parcels left on frame.... bank holiday so no post...so all took today.... took equivalent of 2 days post/parcels and packets and finished on time.. and not just me... so where is your argument? and I am a part timer....
@Wolves I am not sure how you dream this stuff up very puzzling indeed. Eventually we will get down to a 35 hour week and i would suspect by then we will have four day weeks as well. The UK economy is on its arse unless this Government wants high unemployment levels for the next 5 years they better think outside of the box. Full timers will never depreciate and Wolves every time we get an hour off the working week you get a pay rise. You have so much to be thankful to the CWU for because this sure as hell does not come from the employer without a fight. It is always the CWU that make things happen not the employer
mad you are very correct on the shorter working week as the job will be done on 31hr contracts once full timers depreciate....
@Wolves do you accept i am correct?
@Ringpiece At least i have balls. I have heard all this before with Moya and Rico its soooooo dull. We have someone we can work with that will do now onto the shorter working week and a pay rise for a year. You are paying for it through oyur divi's .. Don't you just love shareholders
Oi Baboon,
Kretinsky will have your balls served up on a plate !
Mad,I spy,200 and all militants. We all know you want a 35hr week a pay rise extra holiday and increased pension plus the right to have full sick pay and time off for any domestic problem you have coupled with the stress this job gives you and yours. Tell me if the cwu do not negotiate that in your favour. Will you stand up and. Refuse to accept and go on strike? Behave you take what they get and they will be in the pocket of Royal Mail for another year
I spy exactly. Turn up get paid prorata to what you do not what you contracted for. Most part timers have showed their worth during this episode by the way still a member until I decide not to
@Wolves Yeah they did, well worked out. But you see this is negotiations work, first you get a proposal either from the union or the employer. Then comes the negotiation on that proposal, that is how you negotiate. Secondly you bring that back to the membership, which they have and then return to the employer to amend and improve the deal. There now, do you get it
@ wolvesposty.
I'm fully aware that you re-joined the CWU so that you could vote no to IA. Didn't quite work.
Your further posts would suggest that you are no longer a member of the CWU.
Without the CWU, all posties would be getting nothing. Do you not understand that? Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!
And are you actually saying that staff should get paid the bonus for hours actually worked, overtime included?
If I've done 19 hours a week overtime within the time frame suggested, should I get £300?
What's your opinion on call centre staff getting £400?
Mad did not Dave and tell negotiate it in first place? And mad as for being a hypocrite then let’s see the man willing a strike that will not even happen. Hope you’re ready to put up a fight and stay out
@ Wolves first of all what an hypocrite you are but I think we all knew that any way. Secondly the CWU of which apparently you are now a member never made the rules on that payment Royal Mail did. They are though trying to renegotiate the payment with the employer to make it fairer for part timers. I am sure you will join with me in a round of applause on that one for Dave Ward and Terry Pullinger because Royal Mail dont give a damn about you.
I spy you are first to correct people not reading posts so I suggest that you read mine. I rejoined cwu as it’s my right. and just so I can have my say and that is all. I will take my bonus even though prorata as put a shift in mate unlike some that saw cv19 as an extended holiday.i can hold my head high. I will get £120. Compared to a full timer even though I averaged 50hrs a week compared to someone on 38 who will get £200. Fair? No but that’s trade unions. We all equal but some are more equal than others. Joke
@Scampthedog
You've been posting quite a lot recently. Focussing on VESA equitys ever growing %age in RMG.
I suggest you read some of your posts.
Where exactly do you hear these rumours from?
Can you elaborate?
@ wolvesposty.
Desperate for the CWU to fail yet greedy enough to accept all the benefits.
Tell me, will you take your pro rata £200 bonus payment, should you be included as a non union member? This bonus that was achieved by the CWU.
Of course you will, you greedy hypocrite.
scamp I was accused by not reading posts properly by the one that said it...
Errr...don't recall suggesting Kretinsky would do any of that which has been mentioned below.
